They may do Christianity well simply because, when a Japanese is a Christian, it's because he CHOSE it, not because he was born into it. Those people take religion more seriously than your average "Easter-only" Catholic.

I agree. After all, religious tolerance is the cornerstone of civilization. If we can't enjoy our religion, what is the point in living? Unfortunately as I look through my terribly unorganized folders it appears that most of my religious material is a bit too extreme for such polite discourse as this, so I'm not sure how much I can contribute.
