Hey /jp/, I'm in need of some generic moe-moe eroge VNs.
The more generic, cliched, and shallow it is, the better.
I've had enough of all this crazy Utsuge/Nakige stuff and just want to sit down and say "Oh generic heroine, you so crazy."

Don't get me wrong, I love utsuges and all that. I just want to clean my palette before I move on.

I don't care what's in it, but an idiot friend (guy) and childhood friend (girl) is always nice.

You should really specify whether you're limited to English or not

My bad.
Yeah, I can only read English.
Any suggestions?

I haven't gotten one recommendation yet, so I assume you guys don't get asked very often.

Snow Sakura. Generic as fuck, fairly good comedy, etc.

I think you'll like it.

Read the Galaxy Angel one if you havn't.

I did, and I enjoyed it.
>>5968347
I hear about that one a lot, I'll look into it.

>> No.5968374

Shuffle is the most generic one I've probably played.

>> No.5968384

Da Capo is pretty much what you're looking for down to a T.

>> No.5968386

>>5968374
Just reading the description makes it sound like EXACTLY what I'm looking for.
Is it any good? I'm definitely gonna check it out.

>>5968384
I'll check it out.
Low sexual content, though?

Now low, but it isn't overflowing with them or anything. Each girl has one or two during their route if I remember right.

>> No.5968416

I know I'm gonna get chewed out for this, but...

Wind -a breath of heart-

Tons of people usually complain about how generic and ordinary it is. (or something to that effect)

Well, I played it for the infamous yandere Kaede but realised too late that it was an anime-only addition and she's a played-perfectly-straight childhood friend in the VN, so my expectations were a little slanted.

I thought it was pretty good overall, though. Especially the loli route.

>> No.5968423

>>5968413
Alright, that seems alright.
As long as there isn't any crazy time-loop bullshit going on in the later parts.

>> No.5968475

Is that it?
If it is, thanks to everyone who helped out.

Play Hinata's route and then uninstall it.

The Extra segment of Muv Luv is also what you're looking for.

There are many more. Go search on vndb.org and read the summaries of translated games.

I could never get it to run properly.
I guess I could try again...

Brass Restoration.

Played it, got the generic ending, uninstalled it.
It was alright.

Fool proof instruction steps:
1: Obtain copy of Muv Luv
2: Make sure locale is set to Japanese
3: Run installer from the disc
4: Run Translation Installer
5: Clear Sumika and Meiya's Routes
6: Install Unlimited when prompted for the disc
7: Rerun Translation Installer.

>> No.5968553

>>5968531
Thanks.
I guess I should have thought to run the translation patch, eh?

>> No.5968683

>>5968531
You don't have to rerun the installer after installing Unlimited. (Or at least I didn't.)

>> No.5968859

Muv-Luv

Make sure you play Unlimited too, so you can cry about how Alternative won't be translated for at least half a year

>> No.5968947

>>5968930
I try to be
I played it in japanese not too long ago, but I'll play it in english when it's released as well, 'cause it's that good
