This game is god damn hard to run through blind, since it takes like a full second to activate ice and you have to know where the good ice spots are ahead of time. The control scheme is really fucked, too. Holding C and shift is uncomfortable as hell and makes it a bitch trying to deathbomb. I wish ZUN had left my fuckin fire button the same and made C the ice button, and MADE IT INSTANT. So much rage when you try to use ice on a wave of bullets, didn't charge it QUITE long enough, and die to the bullets before you can reach the bomb button.

That said, the game is actually a lot more fun than it probably sounds in the above paragraph. This is the best game ZUN has made in the past few years. The scoring system is a shitload of fun and the danmaku actually makes sense for a fuckin change.

Didn't anyone else have this? I usually read how much bombs I have left by looking at the lower left icons. I noticed I still had a bomb left and was planning to use it for this spellcard. However, as you can see, I only have 78% on my bombs. I was spamming the bomb button, not knowing that the bomb I was expecting would never arrive... ;_;

After watching a Lunatic replay of A-1, I can say that the revenge shots are there to actually make the game EASIER. Remember that grazing gives you more freezing power, and that you need to freeze as much as you can, especially on Lunatic.

I fixed this problem on my end.
Here's how you do it:
Make a batch file in the th128 folder, and put in this code:

net stop uxsms
CD "C:\Users\Aaron\Desktop\th128"
start th128.exe
net start uxsms

Replace the stuff in quotes with the actual location of your folder.
This will start the game up, and turn Aero back on (and your regular theme) within a few seconds.

It is for some people who have custom themes and/or color schemes that get screwed up when they play it.
I know personally, it changes my theme color from clear white to the default blue, and it's pretty obnoxious.
The batch "hack" if you will, only makes the screen flash off and on, because it disables the them service and then re-enables it a second later after the game has started (preventing it from merely soft resetting, which changes the color to default)
And yes, DS did this for me as well. The batch works for both games if you change the directory and the exe name, in case you were wondering.

It just doesn't bother me that much when my screen changes itself, is what I'm saying. It flips right back, so that's why I don't see a problem with it. I'm actually wondering why it does this in the first place when none of the other games have this problem. The only other main Touhou game that gives me issues is EoSD, when it stops working for some strange reason...and it starts working once I restart my computer. That's more of an annoyance to me than automatic theme-switching.

PCB when I play it fullscreen changes my desktop resolution to 640x480 permanently unless I manually change it in preferences.
Its reallly annoying because my laptop is 1440x900 so it squishes every open window into the same spot, forcing me to minimize 20 different programs and find an empty spot on the desktop to click.
