The uploader kinda fucked up the cue, which points to another file. Open it with notepad and change this:
FILE "(C78)(同人ゲーム)［LION HEART].img" to FILE "(C78)(同人ゲーム)［さんぼん堂]幻想少女大戦紅.img". Just extracting the contents from the .img file works as well, as you are not supposed to install this, just put that folder somewhere and run the exe.

I haven't downloaded it yet since I'm still on Umineko 7, so I'll check tomorrow. Right now all I can tell you is that the demo has 165kb of text outside of the exe. Most of the menus are in image format, so the text in them isn't counted.

Here, put in the same folder as the img file: http://www.mediafire.com/?n3my0a11fswhr2d Load that with daemon tools and copy the folder to wherever you want. You can just extract it from the iso yourself with some other app.

Are you using japanese locale? It may not find the file because of the filename then, since you wouldn't be able to display it properly. Anyway, since it's giving you so many problems try extracting the folder from the img without mounting it.

I got to what seemed to be the boss, really close to beating it but messed up pretty badly.
You can hold down + Z to grab enemies, then release while holding a direction to throw them. Extremely useful, you should use it as your main way of dealing with them. Get to an infested area then hold down + Z again to purify it. Don't get hit and do it as fast as possible.
