I've figured:

-Percentage around Cirno is the ice charge. You can use it at 30%. The higher the number, the longer the ice sticks around, and the farther it'll propagate. You boost it by hitting fairies, so you can't be a faggot holding on to Z the whole time.

I like the game a lot, even though I suck at Touhou.

To be honest, my favorite Touhou games are StB and DS, because I absolutely hated doing the stages. I can't get very far in either one though, only completing stage 8 or so on StB, and I'm not sure about DS, I have to replay it again to see how far I can go because I fucked up and backed up the copy without my saves. I wasn't very far in the first place though.

But in Fairy Wars, the stages are great! It's very exciting!

Okay I've figured out the trick for playing this game. Grazing. I seemed to have forgotten one of the basics of touhou since the game had me preoccupied trying to freeze large amounts of bullets rather than grazing. Helpful for those fairies who shoot large amount of aimed bullets while other fairies rain danmaku from the side as it charges your ice way faster.

I like how the game seems HEAVILY focused on Cirno's freezing thing, but I dislike how having so many pretty effects everywhere completely rapes my FPS when I freeze a lot of things. Some things seem a bit blurred too, as if they had to be resized to fit properly. Could ZUN have forsaken his friends who have poor computers, for once?

Other than that, the only thing I have to complain is the fact that when tapping Z I tend to completely ignore the focus button, as I always do that on PoFV. And well, seeing how this game requires pixel precision when you don't have enough freezing power...

Nope, I just deal with it. You can hold ctrl for autofire but my fingers get confused when I'm trying to do that and change focus a lot. But when I don't need to unfocus for a while I just hold ctrl+shift and give my hand a rest.
