Oh wow, I've participated in quite a few powerlevel threads in my lifetime, but I've never seen something quite as disgraceful as this. I don't know if you did this because you're naive, or if you did it because you're an IN fan. You NEVER continue a powerlevel like this. Despite having completed IN on lunatic, I've tried my best to avoid its plot. Having said that, what I've just read from you might be one of the dumbest plots I've ever read in my life. So she hid the Earth in a pot on Earth while being on Earth? I hope you're joking.

This is why true Touhou fans play Touhou for its gameplay and avoid ZUN's stories like the plague. Now I regret being lured into the Touhou wikia by Yukari's intriguing PMiSS article. IN's plot is "too much information."

Eirin isn't immortal and even in the "Final A" ending of IN it's a toss-up as to whether Kaguya gave Elixir to Eirin or if she used her own power to suspend Eirin in the moment just before she was defeated. That's neither here no there.

That's also giving way too little credit; even a solid punch against a normal human isn't a sure-kill (a youkai maybe, but enhanced strength isn't a guaranteed youkai power).

Furthermore, the events of IN are conflicting as far as what Yukari could have done to Eirin (as your argument is the opposite, what Eirin could do to Yukari). Yukari didn't do anything to Eirin. It was a danmaku battle.

Actually I'm fairly sure that refers to the "Earth in a Pot" spellcard, which in turn refers to the iron pot tsukumogami kamanari. Eirin did not held the Earth in a pot, she has a spellcard that references a certain youkai.

Spellcards aren't meant to be real, they're meant to have cool names. Remilia doesn't necessarily have Gungnir, nor Flandre Lavaetain.

The only indication that Yorihime is strong is that she's the only person to win against Reimu in a duel. Suika, Yukari, Yuka, and Eirin have lost against Reimu in a spellcard duel. Yeah it's true that they were holding back, but Yorihime was also holding back.

You just said it yourself, a spellcard fight. Don't mix it up, the touhous that lost to Yorihime on Namek lost in danmaku (and even that is retarded as Yorihime practically threw no danmaku of her own, but rather Mary Sued her way to win), if they didn't bring up the danmaku subject and the rabbits just went on to execute them, Sakuya would just either Eternal Meek them or stop time to protect her Lady. Actually, the only indication we have that Yorihime is so uber is that she pointed everyone's danmaku back at them.

This is also why discussing actual powers and not danmaku skills is always fruitless, as we don't know what defeats what and if it even works in a rock-paper-scissors motif.
If you want to say Yorihime is stronger because she defeated Reimu in a danmaku duel, so be it, as long as you keep it to danmaku. And even by that logic, Suika, Yukari, Aya, Yuka and Tenshi can take her on, they all claimed to hold back too, why not believe them?

Yukari is one of the youkai sages that enforced the spellcard duels. No youkai cares more about Gensokyo's well being than Yukari. She's also the one that told youkai to migrate to Gensokyo. Reimu is like her bio-mechanical gate guard. Yukari didn't fight Reimu so much as she tested the extent of Reimu's abilities. As seen in this picture, Reimu is no match for Yukari, even while Yukari is going easy on her. Also see this:

Eirin doesn't really have an excuse for losing as she had no incentives. Holding back in such a situation would have only placed her NEET in more danger. Not to mention the fact that her apprentice, Yorihime, held back and still managed to draw against Reimu.

As for Yuka, there were no spellcard duels back then so your argument is moot. At least learn before posting. Oh, and just like all the youkai of Gensokyo, they have reasons for not killing Reimu.

Suika is not canon unless I say it is.

You guys realize that Eirin is just a human, right? PMiSS and CoLA confirm that she predated the Lunarian Capital [1][2]. How can a granny with a few life extensions fight on par with a youkai?

In PMiSS, youkai bodies are described to be invulnerable to conventional weaponry. Meaning if you cut them into pieces they would still survive. They've also been described with bodies capable of moving faster than the eye can follow. Strength capable of breaking boulders. As for intelligence, Ran can solve complex equations in milliseconds [3][4][5].

Eirin is just a human with a lot of knowledge. Unlike the Lunarians who evolved in a pure society, Eirin has no inherent power or ability of her own (other than being a smart human). With enough time any youkai can surpass her. Kaguya 10k years from now will know everything Eirin does, except she'll also have her inherent Lunarian abilities.
