Why TM VN music is so fucking horrible?
They used the same fucking music for almost every "sad" scene in F/SN. And let's not even talk about Tsukihime.

>> No.5887429

The Tsukihime I played through didn't even have music.

I'm playing Tsukihime right now, I'm struggling to not drop it after completing Arcueid's routes. (on Ciel right now fighting Roa)

I just can't stand this shitty music and lack of CG anymore, not even my habit of completing everything out of silly perfectness is enough to bear with it. Akiha's route better be really good (it was the only heroine that made me play it)

Tsukihime was from when they were a simple doujin circle.
F/SN was their first work as an established company, and they were still small.

Realta nua added roughly twice the number of tracks and by so the music also became more diverse.

Yeah right.

I remember the jokes on 2ch about the various eroge companies rushing games or failing to release on time.
It was always "Hey we don't have the same budget as Type-Moon".
Type-Moon had a lot of money to make FSN, it even had far more advertising than the usual eroge.
To say TM was small and that's why the soundtrack was mediocre is fucking retarded.

Tsukihime's tracks were godly. There were times when I was at the border of insanity because of them, but this just made the scenes much deeper, more emotional. They burned into my mind and I still often listen to them even now.
FSN on the other hand was meh. It had some great tracks, but I really missed the piano. The whole game seemed a little bland to me because of the overuse of the electronic music.

Fate's OST kind of grew on me, there's something appealing about its generic sound. I sometimes like to play that one calm song that's usually played during meals when I'm cooking breakfast so it's like I'm really the star of my own VN. You mean like Emiya and The Golden King?
Or did oyu have trouble with the rest as well?

At least those two are the ones I think of when I think of f/sn and electronic music.
Emiya, was in a way somewhat out of place, possibly cause it was like a Trance track in difference to the others.
Then again I bet they were after the "Build up strength and GO ON FOREVER" quality of Trance, to mirror the whole Emiya thing.

The Golden King also sounded nothing as the others as it's in fact Breakcore or something.
I don't know if they wanted to reflect the curse of all the evils or something.

>>5887764
Maybe he means those tracks that play during some of the battles that really just sound like noise (like Akumu, Toppakou, Samayou Kage, etc.; I guess Golden King would maybe count as one of those too) Those were about the only songs I actually disliked in F/SN.

Opinions, opinions.
Most of you probably played FSN as their first eroge, so it's not like your judgment is objective.
People always tend to diss the "entry level" when they want to put on airs of being gnere-savy.

There's plenty of eroge that uses just that one song for dramatic moments, but of course you wouldn't know that.
