So I'm shipping off to uni again in September. Got a room rented in a little town house with a middle-aged couple.

I have almost no space, and the desk and chair are atrocious. I do have enough room for something else I was thinking of getting...

I'm thinking of getting a kotatsu, or some kind of Japanese sitting table... something that I could also put in a closet when not in use. There's really no other way I can get more desk space at home there.

Where would I buy one, though? I'm in Canada.

Import.

But from where? Which website? Store?

Are there such things as Western sitting tables? I've never seen them.

Then I would be left with a result as tasteless and awful as when people saw the legs off their jeans to make jean shorts. No thanks.

You could learn a bit about carpentry or sewing and fix this, or you could whine on /jp/

I'm not looking to build a kotatsu though, I'm looking to buy one.
