I wake up, mess around all day, and when I look at the clock, I see that the day's already almost over and realize I haven't done anything useful today.

Is anybody else stuck in a cycle of laziness?

>> No.5856921

No, I've started getting productive within the last year and actually manage to get shit done every day. Not as much as I like, but I don't just hang on 4chan all day anymore.

>> No.5856925

No, just you.

I'm assuming you made that image.

>> No.5856930

I have the same exact cycle. It is heaven and hell at the same time.

I try to sleep long enough that I don't feel bad about the sheer amount of time I'm on the internet every day; after all, if I'm only awake for about ten hours it's not really that bad if I spend ten hours a day on the internet, is it?

Also, instead of hitting F5 all day, keep /jp/ on your bookmark toolbar, a lot faster and it'll reset to the top of page 0, instead of just in middle.

It's the sense that I'm wasting my time. I'm currently free all day long, so I can do a lot of things, but I'll have to go back to college again eventually, so I feel like I shouldn't waste my time. And sleeping is, in that way, a royal waste of time.

Mine's something more like this.
Surprisingly, I have not gotten fat, but my teeth are in horrendous condition like this as also, I imagine, are my internal organs.

One thing I didn't get across though was that I don't go to bed at 1 or 2 am. Usually (and I use the term loosely), I will go to bed somewhere around 4 or 5 am and that's not even consist as a lot of the time I'll still go to bed around 10PM, 9PM, midnight and of course I sometimes fall asleep around 7 thinking I'll just take a short nap but then I don't walk up until the next day.
Well, those examples are fairly rare of course, but they certainly happen to me more than other people I imagine.

I think most days it's anywhere between 1 and 7 AM.

I just CTRL+SHIFT+TAB F5, CTRL+SHIFT+TAB F5, through all of my tabs, then CTRL+TAB through them again to see new posts. It's really fast.

Maybe for you
I only ever have like, maybe 1 or 2 tabs open actually watching a thread, the ratio of open tabs is proportionate to the number of good threads on /jp/ at a given time.
You can see how this would keep the amount of tabs open to a minimum

I was stuck in the cycle of procrastination until I came up with a solution. To find the solution, you must first identify the problem. The internet is the problem. The longer you're away from this site, news channels, youtube, and any other time wasting website, the better. Also, consecutive masturbating waste a lot of time; you should only do it once or twice a day.

But getting back to the solution. Block, avoid, or ban yourself from time consuming websites like 4chan. Here's how:
-Go to one of 4chan's textboards and disable page styles on Firefox by going to View-->Page Style-->No Style.
-Now scroll to the bottom of the page and you should see a hidden field that says "IGNORE THIS OK."
-Post in this feild and you will receive a 7 day ban from all boards.

Waiting-it-out actually works. If you were permabanned you would just ban evade. If you edited your host file you would just unedit it.

My cycle is starting to get back to the starting point. I've seen more episodes of anime and have spent way more time reading vn than I have in the past year. What I'm losing is the time I spent listening to and collecting music and other video games.

The only constant these past two years has been my consumption of manga which is slowly increasing.
