You should be able to make a decent sequence in it at least, if the framerate's all you're concerned with. Check Options->Preferences->Images to change the framerate, because it defaults to 10.

Though, I don't know what's wrong with Beneton...

Use VirtualDub, save as uncompressed AVI, then make a GIF with Ulead GIF Animator Pro or whatever. That's the best one.

Or if you want to edit them, open in virtualdub, export as a sequence of images, open in photoshop/gimp, create gif.
