Hey guys, Type-Moon here.

Turns out that people are really pissed off that we made Emperor Nero into a little blonde girl in the newest game. So I'm going to go back in time to replace the characters in Fate/Extra with some famous historical female warriors/magicians/etc. Suggestions?

And don't say Joan of Arc because we are goddamn creative geniuses and that's way too obvious.

It was pretty obvious that the whole "starts with Lu" thing should have suggested Lucius Artorius Castus, who King Arthur's myth was influenced by/based on.

Joan of Arc was just a mascot that didn't actually do anything. The whole thing was set up by King Charles VII because there was a prophesy that a virgin girl would lead the French to victory.

Maybe if you're some sort of history buff or something. The majority of players who see her say 'Lu' are not going to jump and go 'Oh yea, she's definitely going to be Lucius Artorius Castus!'.

Camilla or Penthesilea.

Two ancient heroes (one Greek, one Roman) who fought (and died kind of pitifully) during the Trojan War. But on the up-side, they were both beautiful and virgins, so you've got an automatic romance route.

Well that's exactly what happened on /jp/. Some one brought it up, and it helps that the wikipedia page has an extremely short opening paragraph of only two sentences, ending with "he has been suggested as a potential historical basis for King Arthur." Instant connection, and this would explain why the design looks almost exactly like Saber. They can even delve further into the Original vs. Copy theme, or the "legend based on many sources" aspect like Assassin.

Camilla from the Aeneid might be a good choice as well, although her story isn't very well developed:

Circe would be great for a magician character, although she's a goddess, so that might pose a problem:

Well, I didn't mean that literally. It only says he's obsessed with her. Granted this is TYPE-MOON, where most evil male characters have rapey leanings like that, but it was still an exaggeration. Then again I haven't read Zero.

Rape as part of Type-Moon stories has always been of interest to me. I guess the way it makes things darker is well "cool". It's funny though on the talk of Fujino, cause in an interview. Nasu said she was one of his favorites (http://comipress.com/article/2007/10/12/2786 2nd page)

And on the talk of general eroticism. There's been talk about how the Tsukihime remake may be all-ages, and I don't want that for obvious reasons.
