Guys, I just started playing Umineko a while ago. I heard about this theory called the bomb theory. Could someone fill me in about that?

What I like most about Umineko is how the answer is still very open and many of the characters remain suspicious, even though the clues point in specific directions i.e. kanon not existing, magic is playing pretend, shannon is deranged, etc

Basic gist of it is that there is a bomb. It's called beatrice. It explodes when the clock chimes 12 on the 2nd day. It has something to do with the epitath. It is also why when the seagulls cry no one is left alive. Also why the mansion is innaccessable for ange in ep 4.

The storm?
It's a symbol for the Witch's Darkness covering the island. When the seagulls cry (because the storm is over) the Darkness is lifted, which is why you have characters talking about how it will all be over when the seagulls cry.

There is no giant bomb.

Remember back to Episode 5. Krauss tries to hide Kinzo's death because he intends to turn the island into a resort.

Resort = construction.
Construction = dynamite/explosives.

After the culprit kills off the Ushiromiya family, they use the explosives from the construction in order to destroy the house.
