Hey /jp/, /a/non here.
What are the best visual novels? I like to start on some and I have a flight tomorrow, preferably ones that have a really good story. (and ones that I can play in semi-public on the plane).

I've gotten told this, but there is so much content to get through. Could you narrow it down a bit?

It depends on your taste.

You don't need a player for VN, you just install and read it. Oh, and change to Japanese locale just in case some games demand it.

You might as well hold his hand through this process if he thinks he needs a player for eroge/vns.

The easiest solution is to get Windows.

Use winamp.

Some faggots say foobar2000 plays VNs better, but it really doesn't. You probably already have winamp anyway, so just right click the exe for the game and have it play in winamp.

I have a proper desktop at home.
But I am borrowing my brother's computer, so I don't go insane on the flight.

If you have a windows disc just install bootcamp or even parallels or something quick and run them in windows. Other than that you can play onscripter games in OSX.
