I don't know, to me it looks as if there's some pretty solid "groundwork" suited for it's particular style, and said style has it's appeal.

But yes, it does however look rushed, you can see how there's some solid work there, but it doesn't feel completed.
Like, you can barely even see what characters they are as the image lacks any significant characterization details, thus they look really really bland.

You're correct that the artist didn't put a lot of work into it, but he's still very skilled and most people wouldn't be able to create such a picture. It's nothing new but it still looks good. He probably did it in a couple of hourse on a whim never intending to create a masterpiece. I see nothing wrong with that.

KL isn't that bad, she's nice enough. She came onto the seacats livejournal account a few months back and offered to draw the first three posters anything they wanted which was seacats related. Image very much related. I agree that that Erika image she drew is pretty shit, though.

KL has a lot of skill. While her art seems quickly done, it's also pleasing to look at. It's not easy to do that. And if my commissions were $80 and people bought I sure wouldn't cut the price lol
