Erika is literally without love, which is why she is incapable of seeing that they're the same person. To a lesser extent, it also explains the reason why Episodes 1-4 Battler doesn't figure out that Kanon and Shannon are the same person when (presumably) everyone else is on it - they all love someone, whereas Battler doesn't love anyone.

I think that Kanzo is pretty cool guy, marries Jessica and doesn't afraid of nothing. Jessica is not a part of the family at all, she is Beatrice's daughter. When that is revealed, she ends up pretty much like Natsuhi.
Also Rosa has already solved the epitaph but doesn't always have the balls to admit it. Kyrie is Battler's mother.
That way in E8, all the family branches have access to the gold. However, the rules are very different - no Knox, no Dine, Asumu's agent is on the island and the ending is still Minagorshi-style trainwreck, except Eva and Battler manage to survive. Eva becomes the scapegoat, Battler goes missing and later becomes her triple agent.
Batjuuza meets Hachijou Tohya, realizes that she is Asumu and somehow proves himself right.

In the end, everything in Umineko so far were illusions. If Ryukushi actually writes 'the truth', you have to disregard mystery completely because basically, it is an illusion. Just like love.
