Silent Sinner in Blue, once considered Touhou's main adaptation to manga is slowly being forgotten.

Meanwhile the awesome more comical Strange and Bright Nature Deity is the first project that finally breaks the barrier between the official written works and the games.

Thank you so much ZUN.

Says you, guy-dude. I still see people talking about it every day.

Every day.

I don't like SaBND very much. It doesn't reach the level of humor or storytelling that most of the unofficial manga get to, which admittedly isn't all that high of a standard.

the 3 fairy one was adorable.

But I'm a trinary so I know nothing about glorious official touhou manga.

Forgotten, no.

I won't be surprised though if Toyohime and Yorihime ended up getting danmaku patterns much like the three mischievous fairies in some future Touhou x.5 or something. Of course it'd just be another ragefest.

It's ok, but the jokes and the setting really start tiring you out after you read a bunch of them though. SaBND also explores the characters better. For example, when Suwako was in Inaba it was just for a joke or two, in SaBND when Komachi talked with the fairies you actually learned more about her personality, which is always nice since you can only get so much from the games.

SSiB was not as bad as people describe it, but compared to SaBND it's kind of...boring. Can't really say why, but maybe its just that it resolved around Eientei, and like the SDM, kind of overstayed it welcome as the dominate aspect of ZUN's creation.

Inaba of the Moon and Inaba of the Earth is the only good manga.

I wonder if we are getting the songs from the CDs that came with the manga. Anyone here listened to it?

Cirno confirmed for 12.8

3 Fairies has occaisional lows where it's pretty boring and the only thing carrying it is the adorable/mildly arousing art. But in general it's good, just pretty low key and ZUN-ish.

My favorite part of it is how they slowly become friends with Reimu & Marisa.

Yeah, there are about 10 songs total. 3 Strange and Bright CDs (#2 has the Eastern and Little songs), and 1 Oriental Sacred Place CD.

Inabas > Nature Deities > Shitty Shitter in Bshit

I didn't like Eastern and Little for some reason but Strange and Bright is pretty cash.

Woah.

That sounds very odd. I mean, it ain't bad, but the first song is not something I'd see coming from ZUN.
