I just played my real first visual novel, Ever17.
I don't think there are wrods to describe what I'm feeling right now.
Oh, wait
HOLY FUCKING SHIT EVERYTHING IS TRUE NOTHING IS BULLSHIT EVERYTHING ANYONE SAYS EVER IS RELATED OR ALLUDING TO EVERYTHING LATER
AND I'M THE (TECHNICALLY) GOD DAMN VILLAIN IN THE TRUE PATH. AAAAAAAAAAA

Now for nagging issues:
How did Takeshi get stuck in the infinity loop? Why didn't they burn down the chicken stand, stupid fucking filler. If Takeshi got caught in infinity and had two routes, where did they spring from if he wasn't controlled by BW? How did LeMU get rebuilt, who did it?

I'm glad you had such fun with Ever17 OP, but like >>5739948 said, it's gunna be hard to find something to top it

As for your questions, I can at least answer this one:

How did LeMU get rebuilt, who did it?

I'm almost certain that in Coco's route it was implied, if not explicitly said, that You'Haru (or whatever the older one was named, I forget) that she convinced them to rebuild it, possibly due to blackmail. It's been a while since I've read it though, so I may be wrong

>>5739985
You coordinated the project to rebuild it.
What really happened is a mix between the 2 routes on each character, and the result is the True End route. The routes are what could have happen if BW picked certain choices during the incident, he is in the infinity loop after all.
They have to simulate EVERYTHING as perfect as possible to the incident 17 years ago to summon BW.

Tsugumi thought it was a trap specifically for them on 2017. Why just the originals? Or did I misinterpret that?

>> No.5740059

>>5740044
Kind of.
The voices BW hear or images he sees it's his memories, since he already 'lived' in all those places / times / paths and that's why only you (BW) can hear/see it. The mysterious can kick is a result of these "crossings" for example.

>> No.5740077

If I recall correctly Tsugumi was trying to gather information in 2017, and in the second incident she received information that she could see her son and daughter if she went to the now rebuilt lemu

I think I get it kind of.
So the can was never actually kicked, but time blurring or something like that produced the sound while warping it back to it's original point? That would also explain the two Kids and the phantom voice in 2017, they could hear both Kids on that route for some reason.
And uh
Would BWs summoning failed once he started seeing that the situations weren't the same as he awoke and started changing the path?

I was referring to 2017. She said she was trying to get them to see the severity of the cure virus in 2017, but how did she know of IBF, and what did she think they would do? She seemed to know on May 7th 2017 that they would try to research and manipulate her, so why did she make her presence known? Did she think they would cure Cure before the events?
Also
Life reaction. If LeMMIH couldn't detect Sora, I don't think it would detect BW, as it is different from humans. So why on the end of the wrong routes did it say LR1? Hell, what was LR7 about? Who was 7?

>> No.5740107

>>5740079
Yes, something like that.
Let's remember that BW could only travel between 2017 and 2034 because he wasn't aware those were different incidents, so if they were different he would remain 'locked' in a single period, in 2017 or 2034

>> No.5740119

>>5740090
Ah shit, I'm an idiot. LR1 on wrong paths was Coco. But that also doesn't make sense, she dies if not frozen before LeMU implodes from TB, right? And I thought LeMMIH was disconnected from IBF, so it shouldn't see anyone there, correct? I mean, I can see inside the HIMMEL area as seen in 2017, but isn't IBF different since Sora cannot go there?

>> No.5740153

>>5740119
Keep in mind that You (the 2034 You) was administrating the whole thing from the surface, I believe the life readings were her doing to make BW start to think about things and end up traveling back to 2017 and 2034 until he gets what's going on.

>> No.5740206

>>5740153
Yeah, but
What about in 2017? Kid 2034 said it himself: only 5 LR should have appeared. And BW seeing Coco shouldn't have been detectable by LeMMIH, and in addition, the LR remained at 6 throughout 2017, it dropped to 5 after Coco on the bed in 2034, which should have been a warning sign to BW.

I know it's pretty confusing and I don't think there is a "official" explanation to that. So stick with what I said in >>5740153.
All these "errors" happened on purpose in 2034, while in 2017 those were mere mechanical errors or if you want it to be more symbolic it could be a result of the rift caused by BW (let's suppose his presence and 'power' can also affect external things, such as the life reader)

As for other games to play: Remember11, definitely Remember11. It's also 10/10 awesome in a different way, but it's from the same writer. Music is also by the same guy. It's one of the three VNs I rated 10/10 (along with Ever17 and Umineko).

Not him, but I think he meant that a twist like that involving Takeshi's hair and multiple routes being the same yet different make you think "this shit would only work as a VN". An Ever17 Anime/Manga/Anything Else would be completely shitty, because Ever17 without routes and first-person view would be shitty. I haven't played Saihate no Ima, though, and I'm in no position to talk about The Best Use of the VN Media since I don't know Japanese and didn't even read anything by Leaf besides Utawarerumono.

Saihate no Ima is a somewhat obscure sci-fi VN, however I'll not talk about it because I haven't played it and won't either.

Ever17 has great use of the VN media because it has very flexible and intertwined routes that you switch in-game progressively and thus can have an experience of dual reality/multiverse without picking individual routes and clearing them mechanically, which spoils the surprise. Also the idea that the player is a godlike spectator.
