Wasn't the Queen Parasite shit just bullshit?

Higurashi is bullshit.

Brain parasite, DID meido, Ryukishi can't write for shit.

This.

Typical Ryukishi07, only the 1st game was worth anything.

...it wasnt? why would it be?

Wait, I thought people were just joking about brain parasites being the solution to Higurashi. What the fuck?

It's true, actually.

It's not as bad as people make it out to be. You're given a fair number of clues to everything by the time you reach Minagoroshi.

I thought the whole point of the second question arc's ending is to prove that "brain parasites" is bullshit.

Aliens was bullshit (except in non-canon miotsukushi).
Brain parasites is true.

Hinamizawa syndrome is real. Queen parasite theory was wrong.

The thing about Tsumihoroboshi is that Rena was reading something that was a Troll based on the truth but written to dick around with it.

It actually makes sense when you consider who Takano is and what she knows.

And if you think about what the biggest lingering questions are from Tsumihoroboshi, Rena's theory answers them all pretty well.

This

It's not the best plot device ever, but i've seen worse, and the game takes a lot of time explaining it.
And "brain parasites that mind control people" is just bullshit, i think people on /jp/ really believe Hinamizawa habitants have a big fat parasite in their mind that talk to them and tell them what to do.

And honestly, i've seen worse, in many others VNs.

Animefags should stop talking about R07 writing and parasite, because DEEN sucks.

...You mean they don't? Well shit.

You were given some clues, but it's still a bullshit answer for a mystery.
And before you talk, Higurashi was definitely a mystery, one you had to solve, heck one of the reason it became so popular was for the "1% of good answer, try to solve if you can"

But this is on the same level as ALIENS CAME INTO MY BRAIN or THE DEVIL FORCED ME TO DO THIS SHIT, just an answer R07 so that the kids could still be innocent despite everything.

>> No.5724470

DID Meido >>>> Brain parasites

>> No.5724494

>>5724470
They are both shits.
I guess that R07 has to pull these sort of shitty plot devices to create a long running series.
He is just too greedy, if he can't make a long running mystery with an actual good answer, he should just stick to smaller self contained ones.

>> No.5724500

>>5724463

I agree that it's the weak link in the answer, but it's not unsolvable, it makes sense in context, and it's only one small part of the answer.

I think it makes sense in the context of the story because of the fact that Higurashi is a mystery so long as you are unsure what's supernatural and what's real.

>> No.5724512

>>5724408
>And "brain parasites that mind control people" is just bullshit

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toxoplasma_gondii
>T. gondii infections have the ability to change the behavior of rats and mice, making them drawn to, rather than fearful of, the scent of cats. This effect is advantageous to the parasite, which will be able to sexually reproduce if its host is eaten by a cat.

R07 just expanded on the concept.

>> No.5724533

>>5724500
>and it's only one small part of the answer.
Then what's the main part of the answer?

>> No.5724534

>>5724500
Well the other parts of the mystery were honestly easy.
Swapping twins, it has been done countless time in the past.
Burning corpses and a time of death that doesn't correspond? I wonder what it could mean? Yeah.

I see smarter stuff every week in Conan, that's how low the level of Higurashi is

>> No.5724538

>>5724463
>But this is on the same level as ALIENS CAME INTO MY BRAIN or THE DEVIL FORCED ME TO DO THIS SHIT
No, it's not. It's modeled after things that really exist.

>> No.5724540

>>5724463

Jesus, time loop (well, sort of..) was obvious from the second episode, and a "virus" was clear in the third, if not ep II ending where "HEY, RIKA HAS A BIG FAT SIRING WITH HER, BUT NO ONE KNOWS WHAT THE FUCK IS IT, WHAT COULD BE, I WOUNDEEER"

>> No.5724551

>>5724540
It's not about it being clear or not, it's about it being a crappy lazy plot device.

>> No.5724561

>>5724551

Crappy? Maybe

But lazy? Not really, he spent countess of pages explain that shit.
Lazy would be "oh, there are parasites and Takano studied it, end". Or a virus that makes you immortal without no expiation whatever.

>> No.5724568

>>5724551
Lazy? There are hints to it throughout all of the episodes. It's thoroughly explained when the solution is given. It's an interesting application of a real occurrence in nature.

>> No.5724572

>>5724551
>lazy
wow.
You can call it bad, but he wrote eight sound novels about that. It was the solution since the very beginning. How the fuck is it lazy? That doesn't even make sense. Call it misguided or unfair or poorly conceived, but it isn't lazy.

>> No.5724584

>>5724561
No lazy mean THE BAD THING WAS THE PARASITE, THE KIDS ARE ALL INNOCENT.
It's just something that was used to not blame anyone, heck even Takano was supposed to be sick.

It's basically the same thing as "they were sick so it's not their fault", something that R07 will most likely use in Umineko as well.
That's the lazy part.

>> No.5724605

>>5724584
>It's just something that was used to not blame anyone, heck even Takano was supposed to be sick.

Takano only got to Hinamizawa later, she decided to become a "god" when she was like 12, and her will never wanderer.

>> No.5724629

>>5724584
No. Did you even read the VNs? There are many parts where the characters reflect on how their actions were wrong. The fact that they were wrong to not trust each other, to try to kill others in an attempt to solve their problems, etc. were some of the themes of the story.

>> No.5724633

>>5724605
That's it. Takano WAS an evil mastermind, and had no trouble to give the command to kill some thousand people.
