Sadly, there are no really outstandingly good examples of Classical I can find on youtube, as they're all either shit audio quality or performed by some high school band.

I think experiencing a live classical concert really would increase anyone's appreciation for classical, as you have no idea how loud and ridiculously powerful the music is until you're actually there. It freaking vibrates your guts, and they're not using any amplification.

Anyways, try listening to the 4th and final movement of Tchaikovsky's 4th symphony, or the 4th movement of Dvorak's 9th. Two excellent pieces, very powerful and energetic.

Also, the Blue Danube waltz, or the 1812 overture, Die Walkure (Ride of the Valkyries), all of these songs are very common in movies and on TV, but you only ever hear small snippets of them.

I exclude metal unless it's instrumental because the singing generally sounds like shit. GENERALLY, before i get the shit trolled out of me.
