What are some visual novels with graphical quality as good or better than Princess Waltz? The story was not my favorite by far, but the quality of the visuals and the game itself were so high that it was still just a pleasure to play. My experience with eroge is limited to English translations, unfortunately, but there must be others out there.

F/SN has just as good if not better graphical quality and, unlike Princess Waltz, was actually good.

Not the best VN, sure, but worth playing.

I'm assuming you're talking about visual effects because Princess Waltz's art itself wasn't anything special. The only one I can think of is F/SN. Usually only action eroge need heavy visual effects and there aren't very many of those translated.

I mainly liked that it had such a clean presentation. The artwork may not have been "the best" by every definition, but everything was presented at a higher level of quality than anything I had played before it. The images were all at a high resolution, the transitions were smooth, the software was very well done, and even the music was very high quality.

I have played most if not all of the games offered by Jast USA, but that's about it so far. Part of it could simply be that it was just a newer game than what they had translated thus far. I would like to learn a little Japanese at some point, but I don't think I'll be able to read any at any point in the near future.

You might also want to check out ef then. Insanely nice presentation. Great art, tons of CGs, animated eyes/mouths, awesome system. It doesn't have any flashy effects because it's romance/drama, but overall I'd say it's easily the best looking translated eroge.

Another one might be Sekien no Ingancok. The graphics are beautiful and the presentation is stylish. Minor effects during the battles, but nothing amazing.
