Do something with that. If you've got Ran and Chen both in play under your control, Chen gains blah blah blah. Likewise for Ran and Yukari.
Compensate for this by making them not very worth their cost without their superiors power boost. Not enough to make them not viable without the rest of the Yakumos, but enough for it to be noticeable.

It's a subtle connection.

Chen gets stronger the more mana you spend
Ran essentially doubles your mana supply, Chen has the potential to double her strength.
Yukari's another mana ability costing X. Ran strengthen's this ability by increasing your mana supply.

While Yukari and Chen don't boost each other, Ran is set up to boost either one.

Magic really isn't big on cards specifically designed for other cards. That's more YGO's thing.

And why are there so many rage-inducing spells in this game? I can understand being punished for overextending but it's not like I can do anything when I've been forced to discard my whole hand while 2 The Racks deal 6 damage to me every turn

Also Suika should be a card where you can pay some large mana cost to make her absolutely god-like for a turn or so. Missing power etc.

That, and another, lower-cost ability to tap permanents or multiple creatures ... gravity well/black hole.

And yet she could also get an ability to gain Shroud, like that one move in Hisouten. Or an ability to generate a couple of 1/1 clone tokens. God damn, she's pretty fucking versatile, come to think of it.

I am not sure.
I quited magic long time ago somewhere after mirage/weatherlight.
Back then, in 4th/5th ed, we rely on speed and fast deck usually where the number of lands isnt that important. Hell I remember having strip mine and armageddon in my white weenie last time.

All greend/black/white green are built for speed, 1st turn ritual hynpotic,llanowar elves, savanah lion, plowshare and etc.
While red deck are just burn deck. Blue are just counter spell, power sink and the loads of other counter spell cards to win.

There is no way anyone can bring that card into play unless the opponent is retarded.
I don't think there is too many cards that allow you put a creature card from your hand/libary into play. Just put another ability that said "if no summoning cost is paid to bring ORT into played, remove it from the game at the end of the turn"

Yeah I was gonna say, that card has a 50% chance to fuck you over and a 50% chance to help very little unless you purposefully picked a shitty legend and the opponent picked it. Which would only serve to fill your deck with some cards that are pretty much useless except if you want to gamble them with that card.

To be good, I'd make it [cast cost 4] "Search your library for X Legendary creature cards, where X is the amount of mana spent on Another Fine Day At Hakurei Shrine (holy shit long name). Your opponent chooses a card at random. Put this card into play and shuffle the rest back into your library."

planeswalker cards are not creatures, but sort of like a back up player who has come to help you out. They come into play with a set number of 'loyalty' counters on them, which change depending on the ability you use. Revised Sakuya. Splashed her with red, to justify her blaze ability, lowered the cost on the timestop but added in a restriction so its not just an endless denial of your opponent's turn.
