So /jp/ if a Yandere is a girl that is extremely devoted to guy, to the point that she turns destructive and ends up acting in a negative way. And a Goudere is a girl that's so devoted that she becomes slightly destructive (mostly to others not the guy she loves). What does one call a girl who is as devoted as a Yandere or Goudere, but doesn't become destructive? Just dere? Pic mildy related

How is the picture related.

Yandere doesn't mean she's violent

She's just obsessed.

I always thought a yandere was someone like the girl that does the lucky channel skits(Cute on camera, when she goes out of camera she's a bitch who chain smokes).

Yeah, deredere.

Uhh, devoted? Is this a trick question?

Yandere (ヤンデレ?) - is a Japanese term for a person who is initially very loving and gentle to someone before their devotion becomes destructive in nature, often through violence. The term is derived from the words Yan (ヤン?) meaning a mental or emotional illness and Dere (デレ?) meaning to show affection. Yandere characters are mentally unstable, often using extreme violence as an outlet for their emotions. The usage of the character type has led to criticism over the amount of violence in works such as School Days and When They Cry. Although the character type has been used in anime and manga since Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam in 1985, conscious use of the term only began to be around the turn of the millennium. A variant of the term, Yangire (ヤンギレ?) originated in Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS and is used to describe a character who is mentally ill and snaps instantly without showing affection for the victim of their outbursts.[1]

I call that "A woman that will never exist in real life", because 3D women don't know what devotion or loyalty are.

>> No.5678925

Yeah, I was under the impression that yandere refers to the mental state. You don't HAVE to turn violent and kill someone to be a yandere, you just have to have the mindset that would make it a possiblity

what the fuck is the difference between the two terms you just said? You even explained them in the same way. Sometimes I hate japanese slang.

"Yandere characters are mentally unstable, often using extreme violence as an outlet for their emotions."

I'm looking for a word for a girl who isn't unstable, just completely devoted.

Yandere does not mean she will act violent in any way.

I agree with your answer, I'm just curious if such a term exists.

>>5679230
I realize that it doesn't mean they HAVE to act violent, but it does mean they're unstable and in most cases do become destructive.

Well as it's impossible in 3D

I think in the world of 2D it would simply be 'normal', I don't think there's a term for it because devotion is kind of a given for a relationship.

The fact that we have to point it out as something special and think up words for it is really sad if you think about it.

But we aren't talking about reality, so in 2D i'd see it as just being a normal good girl in a relationship rather than a crazy headcase or a slut or anything else.

A vanilla type of girl who simply is how she is supposed to be when in a relationship shouldn't have a special term.

That's a fair point.
I sort of meant more devoted than a normal girl, but considering your statements; to get to the level of devotion I was thinking of, the girl would have to be at least a bit unstable (and therefore Yandere?) anyway.

One kind of osananajimi archetype, the type who always cook, wake up, etc. the mc acting like a wife but ultimately fails at marking her territory as soon as the other female leads arrive.

Admit it, OP, you just made up "goudere."
Anyways, "deredere," the original word from which "yandere," "tsundere," "kuudere," etc. is probably the word you want.

Nah, that's just a bitch who chain smokes.
For an example of a yandere please consider the attached picture.

Then just take what I said and add a bit more obsessive than normal.

I mean that's really all you're talking about as far as I can tell.
