So, I know that the usual theory is that Battler abandoned Jessica/Shannon on the island, but would Battler's crime have more to do with Ayumi instead?

That would explain Rudolf's nervousness and better explain Battler's happiness at having figured everything out.

Also, notice that Kyrie really respects Ayumi as her superior in cunning in a lot of ways.
