Since when were retroactive moves allowed?

>> No.5678022

Since Battler allowed it

>> No.5678095

The meta-world is a detective RPG game, and Erika is the worst kind of player, using such pathetic moves.

Battler is just a shitty GM, any GM worth its salt would never allow a player to do this kind of shit.

? He allowed her to retroactively seal three doors, not retroactively do whatever she wants without him seeing it. Why can the GM suddenly not see the moves the player makes?

Because he is fucking dumb and created a logic error with the letter first. Then because he needs to rewrite the story, Erika can do it too.

I personally thought allowing her do that kinda thing wasnt such a bad move.

Although progressing the game before she reported what she changed, that was pretty goddamn stupid of Battler. That "late report" crap was bullshit.

Yeah, I wondered about this too. Specifically with her killing all of the first twilight "victims" besides Battler, and locking the chain. Battler should have known about that shit.

In essence, ep 6 was like a calvinball match.

>> No.5678446

The narration described her thoughts and motivations in detail, back in Ep3. Turns out those were blatant lies.

It's the same thing. Battler is playing for the witch side now, he has no obligation to tell us the truth.

Yeah, narration. We almost didn't follow her thoughts when she refers to herself in the first person, like Battler.

>> No.5678488

>> No.5678495

>>5678443

Pretty much. That entire game only makes sense as a farce done to revive Beato and prove to LD that he knows the rules of the game.

First of all, he should have known the solution to opening the door as well as Beato does. Theoretically, anyone could get through the window to do it. Shkannon just makes it less obvious.

Second, we have the duel between pieces and the GM which is used to create the first twilight. That's pretty random in itself.

And then, finally, we have all the BS that Erika pulls to create the Logic Error.

>> No.5678506

Obfuscate the truth to Erika or whoever is playing on the human side. Or is Battler being cautions about an imaginary reader who can hear his thoughts?

Wouldn't put it past Ryukushi.

Seriously, the line between whats shared knowledge in the game world and what's hidden is pretty hard to keep track of in Umineko.

Even then, there's a difference between being misleading and being inconsistent. A character should never be able to do something that is beyond his possibilities, even if this something is within the possibilities of his creator (and R07 himself should be aware of that, with all the things he has said about pieces in the game board).

Goddamn, Battler was an idiot. Like, really, he's a dumb motherfucker.

THAT'S RIGHT, TRUST BERNKASTEL AND ERIKA. ERIKA IS CRYING, THAT MUST MEAN SHE'S NOT TRYING TO TROLL YOU. ERIKA AND BERN TROLLING? PERISH THE FUCKING THOUGHT.

>> No.5678632

You know, I wonder why no one else freaked out over confirmation that Juuza kills Ange on Rokkenjima. That's kind of a huge thing from Episode 6's ending that's gotten no attention.

A lot of people seem to think the end with Ange dying on the island were written by Tohya, and we haven't seen the actual event yet.

>> No.5678657

>>5678632
That's not a confirmation. We call that a "traitor shot", something that makes you THINK Juuza killed Ange but by no means confirms it.

All we can draw from that particular scene is that Okonogi wanted Juuza to kill Ange, we can't say that Juuza actually DID.

Interesting...

So, following that up logically, the Hachijo would have known that Amakusa was planning on killing her, or at least had orders to, and wrote the story as such.

So how did she know that...

Of course, I'm still lost on the whole existence that is Hachijo.

>> No.5678672

>>5678632
It didn't confirm anything, it was just hinted at. Juuza was talking quite openly about killing the goons and Kasumi and when Okonogi mentioned Ange, he was awfully indirect, he even unnecessarily displayed disdain towards her.

>> No.5678675

>>5678651
Genius Battler theory? That's nice, but Battler is clearly freaking the fuck out over being in the locked room and desperately trying to get out using futile measures, so I can't agree with that.

If, when Kanon showed up to saved Battler he was just chilling drinking a glass of Chianti, I might agree with you.

>> No.5678680

>>5678566

There's an opportunity Battler is trolling with his inner thoughts.
Remember when Erika was asking for the location of everyone in red? The "everybody" is pretty tricky itself, since Battler was willing to name each person in red (counting Kanon, obviously); yet he gave away the red truth with "everybody" thanks to Erika's insistence.

If Shkanon is true, then why were we shown this line of reasoning?

What's interesting her is that the trick only works if Battler would have been unable to say that Kanon is in the Cousin's Room.
