I'd say that Jessica's always been attracted to him, but by no means is that bad. The thing is, people forget that Jessica is a very moral person on her own.

So when we get a scene with Jessica and Kanon like we did in episode two, it's only natural for her to take a stake in the back for him. But she'd take a stake in the back for anyone, I presume.

Or her lack of love towards Kanon could mean she's a ruthless sociopath, I don't know.

Nanjo has to be a culprit or accomplice simply because of Sayo's MO.

Sayo's game plan isn't anything complicated, despite what episode 6 would have you think. She fakes her death, has Nanjo declare her to be dead(At times, twice), and then moves on to kill everyone else. On a meta-sense, the red text enables her to do this as well, as she can die without being killed.
