I've seen this car on I-66 from time to time when going to work, but I wonder how many times this car has been pulled over by the police?

He's adjusted the car's suspension so that it has massive negative camber.

Camber is necessary on cars because when you go around a turn, the car pushes the wheels onto their edges a little bit, lessening the amount of tire touching the ground. To counteract this, cars come with maybe half a degree or 1 degree of negative camber, so that when that push happens, it's actually pushing the tire closer to being flat on the ground as opposed to up on its edge.

What this guy did was jack those camber settings on the car up to like 30 degrees or something.

hahaha no, its quite the opposite of safe.

The tires are running on their edges- this means 2 things:

1- since you only have a tiny ass footprint of tire to grip the road, your braking ability is severely fucked. Not to mention the car is going to handle like a stuck pig.

2- the edges of those tires are not meant to take that stress. You will find that they will wear out quickly, and will often blow out or fall off of the rim because of the stresses. This will just happen at random.

Ok. If this is so bad, why in the name of the gods did he do it in the first place?
