Dear /jp/

Do you think there is a dramatic drop with the creative freedom with anime?

Compared to to the likes of the 80's/90's there was groundbreaking plots like 'Akira' 'NGE' .etc that came through.

I feel now, 2000's on it seems more of a commercial pursue(not that it wasn't) though a lazyness with ideas now?

I haven't yet came across anything innovative/original - if so please say some ^^

Can you just ask /a/?

/a/ is that way.

Why are you posting about animu here. We have a board just for that, scum.

>> No.5624928

No, the really good anime have always been that sparse, the reason you've even heard of NGE and Akira is because they are especially good.

Look at some of those 'season preview' charts from way earlier in the 2000s, you'll see what the proportion of forgettable to memorable shit is.

Do you think there is a dramatic drop with the creative freedom with games?

Compared to to the likes of the 80's/90's there was groundbreaking plots like 'Half Life' 'Deus EX' .etc that came through.

I feel now, 2000's on it seems more of a commercial pursue(not that it wasn't) though a lazyness with ideas now?

I haven't yet came across anything innovative/original - if so please say some ^^

>> No.5624958

Okay, i didn't actually think that, Also I thought it would just as equally tie in with otaku culture at the same time.

Do you think there is a dramatic drop with the creative freedom with eroge?

Compared to to the likes of the late 90's/early 20's there was groundbreaking plots like Rance 'YMK' .etc that came through.

I feel now, late 2000's on it seems more of a commercial pursue(not that it wasn't) though a lazyness with ideas now?

I haven't yet came across anything innovative/original - if so please say some ^^

But no seriously did you even look at the anime from 80's/90's ?

I mean go on anidb, and list it by years, you'll see one thing, there have been less animus created back then, but it was fileld with forgetable shit just like it's now. The overall quality is the same. Look at KnK, Eden and whatever other anime you like and see as ground braking. There has been a TON of good stuff in the 10's

You can just replace 3 words and it makes sense too. You could feel the same way about the movie industry, look at indian jones and matrix and independence day and whatever. And then look at now... But then you notice theres good stuff now too.

The thing is that the ratio for Good : Bad/Forgetable is getting lower and lower. There's too much shit out there nowadays and very few gems compared to it.

Dear /jp/

Do you think there is a dramatic drop with the creative freedom with 4chan?

Compared to to the likes of the 2004/2006 there was groundbreaking memes like 'Happy Negro', 'Cockmongler','Waha' .etc that came through.

I feel now, 2007's on it seems more of a commercial pursue (not that it wasn't) though a lazyness with ideas now?

I haven't yet came across anything innovative/original - if so please say some ^^

>> No.5625035

>>5625013
I'm sure people have been saying that since Shakespeare. There may be some truth in it in that it's perhaps harder to spot good stuff under the shit even though the ratio of good/good+shit stays the same.

>> No.5625041

>>5625013
No there's not. Most of the things people think are good in the 80s and 90s are OVA and movies.

Do you think there is a dramatic drop with the creative freedom with Touhou?

Compared to to the likes of the 1990s there was groundbreaking games like "Highly Responsive to Prayers", "Mystic Squares" .etc that came through.
