I'll try this again, hopefully the thread is not deleted.

Since moving out of your parent's house a few years ago in the derelict countryside, you've found a place to stay in the city. You stay in a fairly cheap apartment complex and you spend most of the time in your own room, not even bothering to know your neighbours. You haven't found a job yet and you've dropped out of school, a typical NEET leeching off the work of others and doing nothing to contribute to society.

In the start you lived quite happily here, undisturbed by others and enjoying every day by yourself and your pet Japanese bird. However, about a year ago, the apartment complex was expanded and many new residents moved in. They are fairly noisy and cause quite a ruckus, but you ignore it and try to take it easy.

One day, as you wake up and proceed to play your eroges, you notice an increasingly loud noise emitting from downstairs which distracts you from reading. Initially, you try to ignore it but eventually you can't tolerate the annoyance any longer and decide to investigate.

You proceed downstairs to the source of the noise and you notice that there is a group of people gathered around a door. They notice you and greet you, however being the introvert NEET that you are, you manage only a feeble response. They introduce themselves to you, one by one, and it appears that they are fellow tenants in the complex.

The group consisted of:

A girl wearing glasses with messy bed hair, she was also wearing sweats and a padded kimono with a t-shirt. You notice her carrying a sketchbook with her and several pens, pencils, paintbrushes and extended out from her pocket.

A petit girl styling a hime-cut. She was dressed in a white dress and her childish smile to you showed pure innocence. She held a small doll, dressed in a similar style as her, tightly by her prepubescent chest.

A girl wearing an unfamiliar and futuristic costume which intrigued you. She was singing a song by herself before greeting you and you also notice a weird tattoo pattern between the partings of her modest chest.

A slightly overweight and unattractive man who wore shorts and a t-shirt with a picture of some idol group you can’t name. He was sweating in the heat this did not help improve his appearance.

A person dressed in a kigurumi of an anime girl who doesn’t say a single word but only shakes your hand, only making you curious about the gender of the person.

A small girl covered from the neck down in a frilly dress. She was also wearing a silly hat which matched the dress. She introduced herself in a normal fashion, but somehow you are reminded of a touhou character by her appearance.

Lastly, a woman with blue hair who explained that she was the landlord of the place. She appeared very sleepy and her hair was slightly messy, it seems she didn’t get a good night’s sleep due to her work.

It seemed they are in a similar situation as yourself, with being disturbed from their activity by the bickering noise. The landlord explains to all of you that these people have recently moved in from nearby places and that it was only a small problem at first with the noise, but over time more of them have decided to move in with the first group. She explained in this country, you cannot legally refuse to house someone if they are willing to pay, so therefore she cannot evict them even though they are causing a disturbance.

Frustrated by the fact that they are taking away your precious eroge and gaming time, you knock on the door to ask them nicely to keep the noise down. What greeted you at the down was beyond your comprehension. A figure with a deformed and hideous face appeared before you. He was wearing a weird t-shirt featuring a wrinkly, smiling face and he shouted in your face “GEE TEE EFF OHH U AUSTISTICK!!!!”. Behind him, similar “creatures” joined in the frantic chant and you also notice that they all wore equally embarrassing and unfathomable shirts with weird images such as a brown bear or a picture of a baby who appeared rather annoyed. Amongst those creature, you also see kids that ranged from 12 to 18 joining in and screaming “LOL U MAD!!!” or other similar phrases.

Unable to take this childish and silly display any longer you slam the door shut on their face.

The others sigh and leave, saying that they will just have to put up with it as best as they can and try to live with the situation. A burning rage swells up inside you, how can you stand these people taking away the only thing you enjoy in your life anymore – your eroges and your games?

You know the law states that they can’t be removed and even if you report them for disturbing the complex the law enforcers won’t do anything to help. This only furthers amplify your anger and unable to do anything, you punch the wall to calm down. Why is this happening to you? It started a long time ago, little by little your life has changed because of these people coming in and disturbing it and now this new surge of migrants have taken it too far. You try your best to contain your feelings but you just can’t stand what is happening. Breathing heavily and brimming with temper you decide to take the matter into your own hand. No more will you stand these people disturbing your peaceful, carefree life. You know you can’t fight them alone so you must enlist the help of the others who you know are equally annoyed about this situation.

You know you are fighting for a future of endless days filled with eroge, browsing Pixiv, watching humorous NND videos and spending it with your Japanese bird and waifu until the end of your life. You are fighting for justice, for fairness and for all things good. It’s time to get to work.

No CYOA as it’s not allowed, I’ll be doing this as a story. I'll be using this tripcode just for this since I plan to make it quite long. Pictures are from old OC threads.

I have an idea for an RPG(not a VN because i don't want people to lose interest while playing) but i want to know if it sounds like a good idea before i start.I'm not good at explain things but here i go.

It's basically a school full of different types of monsters(eastern and western) trying to "get better" at being monsters,but every now and then a group of rowdy monsters will start to cause trouble.And that is where the hero comes.Every couple of years a new person(One of the stronger monsters) is chosen against their will to keep the peace by the young looking witch principal because she and the rest of the staff are to lazy to do it themselves.

It is a curious thing how the little can inflict such pain upon the great.
Shuten-douji was yet in the prime of his years, but perched upon his rock in the desert night, exposed to the wrath of the elements, the years seemed to weigh heavy upon his horned brow. There, he waited.
He avoided looking to the North, though yet so close there was little he could do to keep the ancient homelands from calling out. The steppes where he had once played as a nub-horned pup, safe under the watchful eyes of larger predators. The grove where he had once made his first kill, feasting upon its liver and heart and earning his place as a man among his people. Ancient caverns where he had once drunk and celebrated with brethren long gone. Once raised his children with mates long dead.
The call of the ancient home was a cry for help.
And Shuten-douji would answer none of it. Many years of poor game and without drink had somewhat eroded his sounder judgement, but he knew too well there was little help he could offer. As surely as there is little point in coming to the rescue of the perished, no one can liberate a place which no longer exists.
This was Man's land now. And as little as Shuten-douji cared for the little schemes of Man, he knew very well that the very same had driven him here. His people was an old one, some might say ancient, and would frequently turn a blind eye to truths not set in stone. It was not without bitterness he admitted he had done the same, and with as not without grief he recalled the impression upon finally opening his eyes.
Yet for the pain his people had come to know, in his lust for vengeance he could not help but feel a sliver of pity for Man. In his newfound false strength, Man had become dumb. Man had become forgetful. Man had unlearned the lessons of the past, lessons which his ancestors had bought with their blood and lives at the paws of the horned.

His vengeance had travelled a long way since it spawned in the valleys of his ancient brain. It had taken plenty of forms, most which involved slaughter in dimensions never imagined, but the wisdom of the ages had somewhat quelled the wrath of the ogre gods. He was wise enough to reason the dead suffer little and learn even less, and as much as it pained him to bridle his rage, it had left him with only one path to vengeance. Man must be made to remember. Man must know the limits of their false strength.
And thus, though he cared little for its significance, he had come to keep his eyes on... it.
That... thing, that which Man seemed to take such great pride in. That giant horn of steel, merely a pitiful caricature of the real thing, sitting upon its concrete bed at the horizon. A giant horn raised to pierce the heavens - an overcompensating fake by Man who had no horns to call his own.
It must be brought down, and brought down in a way to remember - such a way as that it would leave an eternal scar upon the hearts and minds of Man. But while the... thing would be easily brought down, the way he sought to do so had brought him nothing but bothers and grief.
He had called out to every corner of the land, calling for the aid of ancient brethren. Few had answered, fewer had come. Nearly none had brought good news.
Shuten-douji was grateful for the handful few that had come to his side. Whatever hiding places his people had come to call their homes, all were better than the poisoned deserts at the outlet of the dying lake.
Morning seemed to come too soon. He had left for dawn to answer his summons, but he expected little. Of all he had called, all had long either answered, refused or been found long dead - only one remained.
The stage was set, but perched upon his rock in the desert night, exposed to the wrath of the elements, the ancient ogre god seemed but remnant of a world long gone. There, he waited.

Dawn came far too quickly. Even as little as Shuten-douji expected, his heart sank at the silence. As the first light of the sun rose above the horizon, yet no word had come from distant Yamato.
Shuten-douji had rarely set foot on the islands. He had no love for the land which seemed to wobble and sway under his feet, not like the ancient plains and forests deep upon the mainland. He felt little for the islands, but true pity for the horned who had come to call such a refuge their home. Even though he knew many of them, by word of their deeds or deeper.
Though he denied himself the feeling, the silence worried him.
The cold of the desert night had brought into him a certain stiffness, creaking as he rose and forced it from his tendons. The night of waiting and pondering had made him thirsty as none before him, but there was little left in his gourd and with only a miracle of discipline he denied himself that basic need. It would have been a shame for him to beg his brethren for drink in the evening to come.
He contemplated his great flower-studded drinking ware for a moment, thinking thoughts about thinking, before he raised the great crimson dish above his head. From a distance, maybe a trick of the naked eye could have made it seem like a second sun rising above the first.
He could just as easily have called out a mighty roar to shake the ground, or light up the heavens like the end of days had come. Why he had chosen such a simple signal he did not know - he cared little, it had only seemed like the proper thing to do. And indeed, it worked just as good as any other.
Voices answered in the distance. Words and sounds, and nearly as soon as they were uttered their owners were there with him.

Though not many had answered his summons, those who had were of mixed stock. Most stood eye to eye with Shuten-douji himself, some a head taller, some only half his size yet with a might which rivaled his own. Most had two horns upon their heads, though some had one, yet a handful three or even four. Many had fingers and toes ending in claws, some with three or four digits to each hand. One from the far North with a tufted tail, another from the misty peaks of the Middle Kingdom with a third eye on her brow. Some ancient with their great age bought with hard cunning and brute force, some young and impossible to still in their naivety. Though few, in all they were a fearsome crowd, enough that one may think they could have frightened the rising sun to return beneath the horizon.
And just that may as well have happened.
Shuten-douji only turned slowly to face the disappearing sun, blotted out by a great black cloud in the East. He was at a loss for words, but behind him a great cheer rose up from the gathered. The ancient who knew full well and had seen the same many times in their past, the pup in untameable youthful excitement. All knew full well what filled the heavens above them.
Though Man had great eyes in the darkness above the clouds, he saw, but he could not understand.
Black clouds. Spirits of wind and thunder. Just as in the old days. And from them one, two, three... soon more than enough to count on the fingers and toes of two. From the darkened heavens, brothers and sisters from afar descended. Adorned for battle and with half-empty gourds raised in triumph. But although Shuten-douji knew full well who had come to lead them, his mammoth heart yet skipped a beat when he saw her.

She had changed, and very much so. She had grown, now she stood nearly eye to eye with him, and he felt a stroke of shame he could not bring himself to remember how little she had been at their parting. Her belly and arms had turned hard with the might of the ogre gods, her breasts and hips full with a grown woman's curves. Her mane of hair reached nearly the small of her back, glowing bright and golden. The single horn upon her brow stood nearly as tall as her head, scarred from being broken at the root countless times, yet sharp and gleaming a garnet red even in the faintest glow.
At her side she carried a great iron-studded kanabo. She wore a blue robe of Yamato to her waist and the pelt of a slain beast around her shoulders. She did not wear a smile. Neither did Shuten-douji. Among the cheering, mingling brethren, only the two of them remained still in a churning ocean of bodies.
"You've come."
"I have."
Her voice had changed, as if a million times over.
"The Tiger and the Bull, the Wrath of Heaven." She adressed him in the way of Yamato, one that otherwise would have made the ancient ogre god uneasy, "The mountain court of Former Hell has heard your call and many have answered, for as our people stood by the side of the Yellow Emperor in his hour of need, so do we come to the need of our blood in his plight."

"We should drink to that and are all very grateful, but what the hell does that mean?"
She smiled slightly. The veil of formality could almost have been heard falling.
"No good fightin' to be had in Former Hell, you know? If you couldn't guess it from the name, yea?"
"Could guess as much. No good drinking either?"
"None worse than what you make of it." She made a little grin and tilted her head, her horn pointing nearly spot on to the great metal shadow at the horizon, "Back to the point, I guess that's what you want us here for?"
"That would be it. And this would be us." He bit his lower lip slightly, something seeming amiss, though he could not seem to place it, "I sent word all over Yamato, but so far only you've come."
She shrugged. "Ain't a lot of us left over there, you know. Mostly gone hiding, 'spose. Lost a couple of the kids too when the bombs hit, you know? Been pretty fuckin' hairy back home if you ask me, but hey, home's always home."
As to be expected. Even lighting the darkest hour, there is nothing but ill news from afar.
"The other deva haven't answered."
"Doubt you could reach 'em. No clue about the others. Saw the Gathering Fragrance of Ibuki last, say, lots of years ago? Think she's hiding out in some hidden paradise, yea? Besides... honestly we're kinda lucky to get even this many together, you know? Former Hell's pretty much it, ain't lot of us left up on the old ground, and like it or not lots of the lads are kinda happy down there. Happy with them little things, you know? And you know how it is, I may be queen and all, but you know they ain't gonna be much use if I gotta beat the willingness into them. This is what we got."

Shuten-douji shook his head. He heard, but he could not believe though somewhere within he knew the truth when he heard it. Something stirred in him, emotions he was not used to feeling, something which had blossomed the second he sighted the great black clouds and ached every second he lay his eyes upon the strange woman before him. Like a heavy weight balancing unevenly on a corner, ready to drop.
"Only you came."
"Of course I did." She looked around and made a face, "Wouldn't say only, though. You got youself a nice little horde all by yourself, you know?"
She knew. He knew she did, but she did not seem to understand. Maybe for the better, he thought. Better for him as well, when something that needed sorting out seemed to solve itself.
"Listen..." He gave a nod to the North, "Leave your people here and come with me for a moment."
"Hey, should be careful giving orders to the hand that feeds you, you know?"
"It's not an order. I'm asking you."
She held up the palms of her heavy paws, making a little face, "Fine, whatever. Where're we going?"
"Home."

No distance was to great for the horned. For the custom of travelling in black clouds as spirits of wind and thunder, or silently on the winds as crimson mist, there are times when discretion is better part of virtue.
In the time Man could think the thought, the two ogre gods left the poisoned desert far beneath their feet, touching ground on red moss.
There had been a forest there once. In ways there still was, but it was no longer what one would call a forest. Man made their home in these lands now, and Man had little in the ways of inhibitions towards bearing violence upon their fellows. In these lands they had tapped into the very powers binding the universe, unleashing power rivaling that of the gods themselves as if they thought they could tame the wrath of the heavens. But where the bombs had fallen, the trees which were not consumed by the hell on earth were no longer the same - lifeless and red, and forever more inhospitable to Man. Such was the falsehood of Man's newfound strength.
The lingering wrath of the heavens did not bother the ogre gods, at this stage being nought but a mere pleasant tickling of the skin.
Shuten-douji knew the entrance of the cavern, as did his companion. Although it had been an aeon since either had set foot in there, few experiences leave marks that the tides of time rarely wash away.
Though their eyes saw through the dark, there was not much to see. A small cavern by the side of a cliff, only large enough to stand without horns scraping the ceiling. A fine lair for an apex predator, living unthreatened off the land.
"Feels like yesterday."
She shrugged, although something about her betrayed how she was far from as unmoved as would seem, "I suppose. I was little, you know? And didn't stick around long?" She narrowed her eyes at the ogre god, squatting and feeling around the softened dirt floor, "What're you looking for anyway?"
His clawed digits dug in, seeking and finding, "Come look, see for yourself."

She looked. She saw. And as she knelt before the find, she knew why had been careful to use his fingers.
Bones. Ancient, blackened bones. Long fossilized and fused into stone that had once been soil. Some whole and longer than a man, others cracked with a force violent beyond belief. A mandible broken in twain grinned quietly from beyond the grave, flanked by shards of what had been a skull and upper jaw.
The bones of monster that no longer walked the earth. Set and frozen in stone by thinking hands in time immemorial.
"So..." She knew it had to be done, but it was only with hesitation she broke the silence, "I 'spose this is where you break out your big revelation and all the little bits and pieces click into place, yea?"
The ancient ogre god sighed, "How much do you remember?"
"Enough. But I don't get what the hell is going on with the leftovers here, yea?"
"It was after the passing of the Great Ice." He could have counted the years, but it would have been meaningless, "This was the land of our people. Good hunting, good meat and plenty of strong game. Rivers. You wouldn't believe it, rivers flowing with drink in the time of disrobing trees. This..."
He paused. He wondered to himself if he was to reveal a secret, or if what he was to tell was already known or at least figured. If it was a secret, it was a silent such. One he had kept to himself, with words never mouthed.

He stroked the withered bones, as if it had been the day before that his heavy paws had drawn from them the flesh of their owner, "The greatest beast I could find in the land. One that walks nowhere in any form in these days. With my own bare paws and fangs, the only way to do it right.

Very good cross hatching. Good fabric. Good shading on Miku, but seems to be missing altogether in places in the backround (for example, around the woofer in the back on the right). Perspective is a bit off on the turntable. Hands in the backround look rather odd, though Miku's hands look decent - also nice shading around the knuckles on her left. Mouth seems to be off center. Disco ball in the back looks horrible, otherwise good attention to detail.

I played guitar for about 2 years using tabs, but I think I've reached the limit of what I can do without any music theory knowledge. Using trial and error for improvisation and sitting inside pentatonic safety boxes just isn't cutting it for me anymore so I've gradually been learning some music theory and how to read standard notation.

I've also tried to stop using tabs altogether and instead learn songs by listening to them over and over until I can copy them. Sure, playing with tabs will improve your mechanical ability and technique, but this comes at the expense of other aspects of playing which are just as vital - ear training, interval recognition, understanding of context.

Sounds fine to me. Just keep it up. Not every song out there has music notation or tabs, so being able to play by ear well (like hearing a part and being able to play it a few seconds later) is a good skill to develop.

A good way to practice is transcibing music or doing covers or something like that. It's sort of like how drawfriends study by drawing from life (basically taking an example and interpreting it for yourself).

But really you could play along with your favorite songs for 2-4 years and become a fine guitar player. And once you get good at one instrument it's really easy to learn another.
