Do you know Japanese, have some free time, and want to do some fun VN translation for /jp/?

If your answer to all of the above was 'yes', then join us in the Flyable Heart Translation Collaboration!

How do I participate?
Go to http://rechan.eu.org/go/fhtrans
Click on 'Go forth and translate'
Choose the new AJAX interface if you're using Firefox.
Click on any file you want
Click on column 2; now you can see the original and what you'll be translating
Pick any page to start from, which hasn't been translated yet
Write your translated lines into the left column, you can click on the one you want or use alt+shift+J or alt+shift+K to move between them
Fill in the code at the bottom and click submit
Repeat for as long as you feel like it.

Have fun and don't let the trolls get in your way!

Why not fill in the names? I hasn't given me any patching trouble.

As for Syo's name, that's the official romanization. I feel that we should always go with the official version if one exists.

Japanese tend to use the alternate romanization system that never sounds quite right to the occidental people. Instead of using 'sh' use 'sy', 'ts' turns in just 't', 'z' can turn into 'd', like in Yuzuki=Yuduki in some romanizations when it's clearly pronounced like Yuzuki.

It's just Hepburn vs Kunrei romanization.
Hepburn was actually made by a westerner for westerners so it makes more sense to use it in a western translation. Maybe a japanese knows how "syo" is supposed to sound like, but for us "sho" is more immediate. It's not a mistake, just different romanization systems.

One reason is that we can change them all at once when we agree. Now it's going to be a little more difficult. They've given me a few more reasons for it too, which I can't remember at the moment. I'll try to ask at the next script compiler conference, but for now it'd be better to change them back. (FYI: I'm expecting the compiler system to be done soon, we can put out releases as fast as we can make them when it happens.)

This. I use Shou for this reason. They even SAY what sounds like 'shoo'. If you use Syo you might as well rename him Simon or something. (Same with Max.)
