What is this?

/jp/ has begun to finish a project to translate the visual novel Hatsukoi, one of the highest rated according to the Japanese.

Are you in need of translators?

Of course! Anyone with knowledge of Japanese (and English) is welcome to join in and start translating with the simple and easy-to-use REtrans™ Web Interface now with Accelerated AJAX Technology.

Are you in need of editors?

Definitely. You don't even need to know Japanese to help improve the English text, so your participation is encouraged.

What is the length/progress/ETA?

The total length of the content is approximately 32k lines. We are at approximately 66.2%.

I never noticed before that not a single part of the description of the project is true.

Actually they definitely need editors.

Are you guys too fucking incompetent to find translators on your own instead of relying on /jp/, or are you just plain stupid?

>> No.5600465

Yeah, but the only people that are welcome to edit are the ones who never point out problems. Which is the opposite of an editor's job.

Out, troll.

You're always welcome to point out problems, just fix them. The #1 problem I see is people list problems and refuse to fix them, they simply list problems then laugh and go away. I see that as nothing more or less than trolling. I don't even know if what they say is true since they refuse to offer a solution.

I've noted the translation inconsistency problems at least half a dozen times and they're still not fixed.

So, no, that's not true at all.

Where? I haven't looked at the translation since January. Are you talking about the opening lines of each route being different? Tell us which one is the correct translation so it can be fixed. Not telling us which line is correct? Then you're not doing anything but pointing out the problem without fixing it, ie. doing nothing which goes right back to my post.

Guess what's impossible to do without knowing Japanese, hence why a translator needs to look at and fix them before an editor can do shit, which as you've just demonstrated goes right to "U TROLL U TROLL U TROLL U TROLL."

This is a new low in stupidity, even for you.
Consistency, dipshit. It's not a hard concept. When identical conversations are translated completely differently, it stands out. You don't even need to know English to see that there's a problem.

Copy the one from Anzu to all the others, Lennar's translation is probably the most accurate. Problem solved, quit complaining.
