Once upon a time, a band named The Pillows made a song called The 3rd Eye:

The similarities between this song and Touhou doesn't go any further than that. I'm sure most of us know The Pillows through their OST featured in the animu adaptation of FLCL. I don't know what you think of The Pillows in general, but they are pretty well known for making some sweet guitare riffs, so the cover/rearrange potential is pretty high. In fact, one such rearrangement was featured in a release presented by Anipix/Syrufit, released on C75 - namely "innocent":

You can see that track 07 bears same names as the given track by The Pillows, and if you listen to it you're sure to hear a resemblance between the two. It's made by hiro.na, 綾倉盟 and TAK-sk; which of these 3 artists actually performed it is beyond me - I only know that the first one provided both vocals and guitare play in that release, and the latter one vocals.

I recommend checking out the release if you're interested, the given rearrange is imo better than the original. The guitare play is very similar - just how we'd like it - but the vocals highly different - to my joy, as I don't care much for the vocal performance of The Pillows. The text itself sounds different, and the vocalist sings calmer, and with a lisp, I believe - which is always cute. Overall my favourite release from Anipix.
