It's not that they are 'overlooked'.
Translators work on things they are willing to do/like, first and foremost, along with them thinking they are capable to finish.
Every project that made considerable progress/is finished worked like that.
And we have already received translations of many of the popular and/or critically acclaimed VNs. We even get Alternative soon, which was the eternal 'Haha, never happen' joke up to a year and a half ago.
Anyone who whines in this thread just wants to enforce his shitty tastes.
And unless you could read the VNs properly. claiming they are the best is retarded. And if you can read them, you should not care whether they are translated or not.
The only thing you can do is support VNs you find interesting in recommendations and such, anything else results in a shitfest.

But there are many good games getting translated or already translated.
Maybe you should start looking at these eroges more realistically and stop bitching that no one sacrifices years of his free time to translate one the most difficult to read eroges, or one of the insanely long ones, especially without getting anything in return aside of more bitching that "WHY AREN'T YOU TRANSLATING FASTER???".
