What is this Umineko Chiru: Dawn of the Golden Witch - Prologue and Ch. 2 Scene 1 VOICED bullshit I see in /rs/? Surely there cannot be a voice-acted version of Umineko?

Well this is weird.

I downloaded the thing in the OP and got it unzipped by fiddling with the language settings. It's Chiru, only not.

Unzips into a folder labeled "Umineko6 VOICED". Inside is Umineko eps 5 and 6 and WH's latest patch, but it's only a little under 400 megs in size. The BGM folders (three of them) have only six files in total, and there's only one video file. The .nsa files are only 209 megs total.

It runs. The menu has a black background, no picture. The text seems to be all there, but no music plays. Some sound effects are there, others are missing.

Is this some kind of a pared-down version of Chiru that I could combine with the eps 1-4 somehow to get a full package with just this small download? Alternatively, where can I get a proper version of this? I might be in the mood for some ep five.

The "voiced" part is a pretty clear indicator that it's part of the fandub project. They have some kind of a release out and probably just included the minimum amount of files to make it possible to see the parts they dubbed in the game. You're going to need the full DVD.
