I have a serious question /jp/.

Why do some of you have such a hatred for greentext storytelling? I can see how it being used for an off topic thread could make you angry, but we have a successful off topic thread nearly every hour. I'm not defending that horrible implying meme here. These stories can be genuinely funny and even on topic if someone takes the time to write about an experience they've had with a vn or a recent doujin game they played. I've never even been a /b/ or /v/ regular, /a/ is long dead to me, and I've been coming to /jp/ exclusively since the split. I'd really like to have a civil conversation and hear your honest opinions on why greentext storytelling is such a horrible thing.

I don't really mind it, but I don't see why people can't just, you know, actually write their cool stories out.

It's much faster for telling stories
Therefore I hate it

I have a serious question OP.

Why greentext? is that hard to use " "? It's not like we can't understand unless it's green you know?

Greentext is meant to be used for quotes.

Because unlike a lot of posters on 4chan I'm actually not diagnosed with ADD. And I'm here all day. So go ahead and embellish your story; write it out like actual prose. I mean this is /jp/, we love reading here (we play visual novels), so do us a favor and give a real story if you're going to post one.

Because it encourages people to write in bullet points rather than in a more fluid prose. Also, its fucktarded.
