Do you think playing Visual Novels makes you a more romantic person?

>> No.5517944

Hahahahaha

>> No.5517943

uh, no. sorry.

>> No.5517945

No.

>> No.5517948

I'm a romanticist myself so that doesn't help much.

>> No.5517962

Possibly, but half of the nerds here only play them for the action sequences, the GRIMDARK, or the rapesex.

>> No.5517963

If I acted the way protagonists act in VNs I would not be any closer to having a girlfriend. The guys in VNs act like autistics.

I don't think you know what the word autistic means.

>> No.5517970

oh god OP is a hopeless hopeless faggot

you know you've reached the point of no return if you start looking for tips on being a romantic from VN's

>> No.5517996

No. You're either empathetic and romantic or you're not.

But I am a laid-back person, so I dislike fighting scenes and such. The parts were the characters just talk and reveal their personality (the "slice of life" parts) are always my favorite.

>> No.5518003

It might make you more romantic than the other types of NEETs...

K-ON?

>> No.5518020

>>5518004
Are you implying the characters of k-on have any real personality besides MOEMOEMOE?

>> No.5518022

I don't know.
I'm a hopeless romantic without playing VNs already.

Tsumugi has personality.

Well, I think playing them makes you more sensitive to people and emotions in general.

>> No.5518033

>>5518004
No, K-ON is mainly about moe moe girls doing moe moe things. It's not about developing characters into ones that could be credible as people.

Military K-On, then.

>> No.5518049

It's more likely that we play Visual Novels due to preexisting romantic inclinations.

Also: that's absolutely a great image OP.

>> No.5518180

OP made me realize that most VN fails at romantism, despite having emphasis on romance most of the time.

And no, MAGICAL AIDS doesn't make good tragic romances.

Yes. Not really romantic but makes you reflect a bit more.

Sora no Woto is also about moe girls going moe moe things. It's not about developing characters into ones that could be credible as people, either.

>> No.5522472

Awesome pic, OP, loved playing and still love thinking about that VN...

>> No.5523147

Do you think playing them would make a girl more romantic?

>> No.5523188

I play VNs for the Romance more than the romance.

>> No.5523252

Depends on what you mean by 'romantic'.

In the 'hopeless romantic' kind of way, yes. Your view of love will be more and more idealized, and love will become the true happy paradise so many artists have spoken of to you. Just don't forget you're a HOPELESS romantic.

Some people also use the word 'romantic' to refer to being popular with girls, and to that the answer is simply no. The more VNs you play, the less likely it becomes that you'll ever have a girlfriend.

>> No.5523362

I wasn't a romantic person till I played Rapelay

>> No.5523427

>>5523252
VNs can't teach you how to initiate a relationship with a girl or how to be popular with girls (in VNs, either the girl initiates or relationship initiation is "inevitable,") but they might help you to be able to keep a girl happy in a relationship with you by improving your instinct for romance.

>> No.5523459

No. Romance-loving faggots love playing romance-oriented VNs though.
Don't get confused between cause and consequence.

>> No.5523652

I started playing galge because I was already a romantic.

>> No.5523667

VN's will only teach how you to be a rapist because of Japan's overly misogynistic culture and vapid patriarchal outlook which brings women to shame and turns men into wolves.
