For what it's worth, the robots can be "reprogrammed" by the right kind of wizards, which is why there are robots employed by every major power which are specifically made for killing wizards.

The whole idea for transferring souls came from a necromancer who wanted to give his ghost waifu a body. Rich people tried to abuse the soul transfer magic until people found out the person transferring the soul could program personalities, and eventually the whole process was hushed up and turned into military-use robots.
