HD280s = win

65 dollars, but basically perfect sound quality if you're not a fucking "500 dollar knob" audiophile. Plus they work fine on a laptop soundcard, shut out nearly all sound without noise cancelling, and are DJ headphones. So they pretty much win everything.

As a producer and previously a sound engineer i can tell you for personal use the difference between a pair of 515s and anything more expensive is basically trivial, unless you want to churn out 25db through them which will make you deaf within a week.
