"Hi, my name is www and I need to use a spellcard on a pacifist opponent in Typhoon weather in order to win." That aside, good games www. The Iku vs. Patchouli matchup seems to be terrible. Thanks for the games.

Standing in one place waiting for weather to end: the game is boring. I'd rather just play through it, it'll also make typhoon go away faster.

You could always try manipulating the weather via the use of spellcards, weather cards, knocking the opponent away, running away until the weather occurs, or if you honestly think you'd take more damage in the weather than you would from a knockdown, then you could let the opponent knock you down.

>> No.5420380

>>5420326
Lecturing me Guy? I always have 4 weather spellcards in my decks, but it's not like there's always one available.

I know what to do, but for me, I get no satisfaction from fighting in Typhoon. Refusing to use it to my advantage is just my way of protest, and I don't care if it's a scrub mentality (which it is), it's simply against my principles.

>> No.5420461

>>5420380
It wasn't a lecture; I didn't spectate the games so I had no idea who you were, so I was offering suggestions on how to better control the weather.

I was also just voicing my opinion that doing nothing during typhoon is silly, and sort-of boring. Also, it's not like phoon is the only terrible weather in this game. I'd argue river mist is worse than typhoon, some characters have an absurd advantage during sunshower, heavy fog is just silly, diamond dust is absurd with how some characters work in this game (Meiling unblockable loop, anyone?). The thing is, people play through all of those weather normally, but when it comes to phoon they'll just stop, which just seems strange to me.

I'll reiterate: this is just my opinion, not a lecture. You're free to play how you want.

>> No.5420540

>>5420461
I'm annoyed that you automatically assumed I didn't know ways of manipulating weather in the first place, that's all. Don't let being better than most people at the game get to your head.

Something curious I've noticed is that www is surprisingly quiet whenever he loses. On the other hand, if he played well then he's quick to offer GGs afterwards.

>hes just mad he made typhoon weather active with a system spellcard as cirno
More amused, actually, that www suddenly decided to attack in Typhoon when he didn't do much more than toss projectiles during earlier Typhoons. I guess any win is a good win, no matter what the means, eh? I'm the only one to blame, of course, for not paying attention to the weather while activating the weather card. I was only thinking about using the short invulnerability period to get a breather. It's also my fault for cutting short Cirno's 5AAA 5C Ice Sword combo. If I hadn't omitted 5C it might have done enough damage to spell crush and pull off the improbable comeback.

I'm sorry if you think i'm actually good and rage over this game. The reason i didn't say good games was because they had just finished making breakfast and i went to eat with them. But whatever if you want to argue about typhoon weather and finding ways to take breathers in the middle of matches by being passive

Good games tak, I don't know about you, but it's quite late here... It's the first time I see you around here. You have picked up a character that isn't easy to use, you've got nice reactivity and use the default 214 attack with good timing, but you don't use Aya's other moves that much. You should work on that.
Also, it's hard to deal damage with Aya, I know it because I had a hard time learning how to use her (more or less). Try to learn some easy BnBs, like 5AAA 5B 6C 236B, it'll help you take a bit more life from your opponent when a j5A hits.

GGs akagi, and thanks for the advice. I've had some trouble deciding which specials to use with Aya, especially her 22BC alternatives are all very good. Guess I'll just stick to the defaults for now and focus on combos as you say.
