Like I said in the last thread, the only reason people say that this game has chaotic/repetitive combat is that nobody knows what the fuck their doing and everyone's just running around randomly on the battlefield like chickens with their heads cut off. Give this game a few days for people to figure out the system and it will get more fun.

It depends, sure, I hate the fact that it can lag like shit (especially when going in the shops), the weapons seem to do nothing and are pretty bland, and it's a clusterfuck in team battles, yet it's fun in small doses. Besides, it's in a beta stage in the moment.

Sucks for the most part IMO. Personally I do the same thing every battle (sword spamming) because that's what gets me first place.

FEZ had a bit more variety; you could take ie easy mining/building structures or go on offense. Both would get you good scores and exp.

I like how people are saying that it takes no skill to play this game. You have to aim at targets that can turn around pretty quickly, and know how to get from underneath fire from above. Also, if you are playing against a bunch of crap players then yeah, the game isn't that fucking deep, the same for every fucking game that was ever created in the world that requires some intelligence to play. Also about the controls, there is no other way for you to be able to aim and walk at the same time without making the controls how they are. Anyone that complains about the controls sucks, I mastered them during practice.

It's not a good game nor is it a bad game. It seems the best way to gain levels and items/upgrade equips are just arena battles. Questing can be a bit fun as well when your screen is suddenly filled with danger and all of a sudden a huge motherfucking spaceship is right in your face. The whole exploration quest bit really sucks since if you're too far into it, you'll be the only person in the area. I'm playing as Air so it can be fun just pewpewpew'ing while circling around. Once I run out of boost or I'm inflicted with the burn status, I'm basically fucked. I also love how the burn status just charges me towards the enemy. That's... lovely. Overall, it is pretty fun but I could probably just see myself playing it for a week or so. That said, I'll go play with the polygons later to see if I can make my character DFC.

Well I found the game fun at first, it still is, but looking at it overall. I'd give it a 5/10. I don't see how it would be fun after 50 hours or so...

It's basically a FPS, but with really bad graphics and autoaim and a lot of chaos, and for me really bad ping...

So I can't really see myself playing this game. I'll play it a bit longer and stop. If they added more complexity and things to do it would be much more fun but as it is now, it's just a Nanoha Magic Battle Arena MMO, and I just can't find that fun for a long time.

It just lacks the fluidity and accuracy of FPS games... also horrid ping just like with every MMO that has servers in america.

I got one from the gachapon, it's really fun to play and probably overpowered in the hands of a good player (which I am not). It has 2 built in main weapons on the arms, with a high stun rate, so that's 4 weapons you can potentially fire at the same time. And the vine thing, which is really fun, but tricky to use.

It basically replaces your melee attack: to use it first click and hold your right mouse button, and it'll create a small circle in front of you. Within about 1 second of doing that, you can click the left button (while still holding the right) between 1-5 times, and each time the circle expands and goes farther away from you. Anything caught in it gets rooted and takes damage (but can still fire at you - a shield would help with that) Problem is, you are completely helpless while doing this, so most of the times I tried to use it in pvp didn't end too well (didn't help that I suck and everything was an uncoordinated clusterfuck).

I'm doing my best to level it and learn to play a support character, but between my lack of equipment (>>5351446 here) and having seen a whole one person from /jp/, I'll probably give up and try artillery.

I was happy when I picked up a Little Grenade gun for my Lily Rain.

This gun can actually go super long range without the shots disappearing. In fact, if you shoot at very high angles, you hit really far away and over obstacles. Just like real artillery!

The problem with this is that you can't see your shells land if you shoot like that. If I had a spotter to help guide my shots, it'd probably be way easier, but that's impossible to set up in a game that's fast paced like this one.

So for a gun that is a proper artillery piece, it isn't credit to team when used at long ranges. Conclusion: Disappointment ;_;

I have laser gun, mini arm cannons on my left hand for that activates during full burst fire which has unlimited ammo, and rocket punch on my right. not so easy when every land based mech is firing off rockets. you can do it especially if you have air loop, but you spend so much time dodging that you aren't doing much compared to being a unit that can move well on the ground (where rockets are cake).

please say its that easy to dodge 4-5 people with rockets on you (way out of your melee or shooting range) while trying to attack back, like you can on the ground. If all the rocket people themselves are in melee range (or there is only 1 outside melee range) of course dodging them is easy.

in the last round I was in before the server went down, I got top damage and kills in the round (with one <500 cost death), but I was basically playing like an aerial lily. If I had a lily set up to kill rocket people I would have been much better off.

right now I use her with a mech gun and either a beam gun/stun gun/ or curving gun, I can't remember, and I can kill close range people while under rocket fire much better than as a Crimrose. Most people with rockets use them way too much, and miss good chances to nail you in melee. Unfortunately if you are in 'mid range' and in the air while trying to actually kill them, it gets tricky. Once you get short range in the air, or mid-long range on the ground they are easy.

Maybe a land speed unit would be a better counter, but then I would have to give up my lily who I use to counter a heavy crimrose game.

Anyone who thinks that sword spamming works in this game, make an account on the Japanese version and try using melee attacks, you'll get pwnt.

The only reason it gets you a high score in the English version right now is that everyone are still noobs who don't know how to play.

I don't know what guns an ART would go for, but as an AIR using the wide beam gun (for accuracy over the plasma gun) and support offhand (melee weapon / stat weapon / stun gun, etc) will eat land based units alive if you get above them.

sword spamming? no. they can punish you very easily since team mates almost never support each other, but usually it ends after a round of hits. If melee unit manages to corner a low tough ground type with the axe bit, you can expect some massive pain.
Also, the weapons you get from gachapon are much better. There are a few disgusting melee weapons, but still you need a gun for when you aren't in range.

IMO, AIR works best with a range-boost laser, which can mark targets at maximum altitude. With the range boost, you essentially are shooting at people without them being able to shoot back, as long as your booster lasts.

Any ideas on how long the ammo lasts? I didn't buy it because it said it was depleted quickly and I already run out of ammo on my beam guns before I die. I'm saving up for a shield since it seems like that is the best option.

I guess I can start a new account and try it quickly.
