Being a youkai doesn't mean she is physically stronger than a human being. Youkai is varied, there are even youkai that overall weaker than a human, they don't have certain conditions like vampire race or oni race. You can say youkai is pretty much human with magic, their power are different individually.

And I still believe Patchy can't fight for a long time, but with all that knowledge she bounds to know some technique (like Wudang, Aikido or some Jijutsu) to defend herself when out of mana.

But still, just to defend herself, someone like Marisa can tie Patchy up anytime.

Yes, you'll be using magic instead of strength for calculating melee (and ranged physical) damage.
Giving your roughly the same attack as a unbuffered warrior if you went pure attack.

You'll also be able to wear twohanded swords (the reason most people pick this specialisation) and the heaviest of armours.

A generic non-super-optimized Arcane Warrior runs around with 70~101+% fatigue and is only able to cast one or mayhap two ACTIVE spells in a given fight without potting.
Rest is of the mana is keept for haste and mage armor and such.
