I'm not sure about Kanako, but Suwako is a native god, which WAS some kind of youkai, then gain virtue/faith/whatever and gradually get worshipped => god.

But still, Suwako is strong, the "ability" of hers and Kanako's are mostly nature things, like raining, lighting or winds, it won't affect greatly in an 1-on-1 battle.

I think Yuuka can probably the only one that can go against Yuugi in a death match.

Byakuren can't even hope to join, if Yuugi stops her passive manashield she'll die by age in less than 1 second.

Depends which era we're talking. Oni have only been associated primarily with brute strength for about 500 years.

Pre-sengoku era, oni were considered nearly entirely mystical. Although they were associated with strength at that point as well, the idea was one of supernatural strength, not in any way mundanely physical.
