I use to defend the "Sakuya = past/future Eirin", but:
A) Past Eirin would insinuate Remi turns into Kaguya in about 1000+ years. Also, Remi isn't Lunarian, and neither are the Lunarian's time travelers, only Sakuya.
B) Future Eirin would insinuate that Eirin outlived Kaguya, became a vamp hunter, and got turned into Sakuya, losing her memories, name, archery ability, and breasts.

No scenario is likely because no amount of time-traveling could make Sakuya = Eirin. Now, you're probably going for the ALTERNATE DIMENSIONS argument, but Gensokyo is 1-dimensional as a whole, so even that theory is trash.

Actually, I came up with even sillier theory.

Due to her continuos fiddling with time-stream, Sakuya accidently opens a rift in space-time continuum, and is transported to moon in past. She loses all of her time controlling abilites, but takes up study of medicine and becomes very skilled.

Illogical! The stream starts when Sakuya first meets Eirin in IN for the first time. Sakuya can't meet and become Eirin if she's already met her, so a time-skip AFTER meeting Eirin is out of the question. If Sakuya would have time-skipped back thousands of years BEFORE meeting Eirin, there wouldn't have been an encounter to speak of; she moment she took herself out of her timeline, she has erased her existence from then onwards, so while in the past she's becoming Eirin, there wouldn't be a Sakuya for her to meet in the future in IN.

The only true, less logical but still probably outs I see are:
- Sakuya skipped back, became Eirin, had a child and child ends up on Earth, loses memories and is renamed Sakuya, and they meet in IN as enemies.

OR

- Yukari not only has boundaries, but can fuck with entire dimensions, such as taking a snapshot of one timeline, duplicating it, letting the first one run it's course while the second follows your theory, then right about the time for the Mooninites to hit Gensokyo, she combines the two dimensions again.
