I've found that I'm scared of discussing anything in /jp/, because I want to make a doujinshi before I spill all the beans about my ideas, even though I have almost no artistic ability at all.

How do I take baby steps into the doujinshi scene?

Read my sweet hakutaku, see what your early attempts will resemble, quit forever.

Make something like My Sweet Hakutaku, then make more.

You're probably right. I might as well just post my ideas, so at the very least, /jp/ can tell me if it sucks.

See, that's the thing I'm scared of, that my ideas will come out like shit because I haven't the skill to express them clearly.

I think My Sweet Hakutaku expressed its ideas very clearly.

I am going to make a doujin about Sakuya's origins as a vampire hunter!

I hope it was never done before!

Not OP, but no. I have lots and lots of things I want to see in doujins that either never get drawn or the doujinshi that contain them never get scanned. ;_;

Feel like sharing them?

I might steal them.

It's like wanting to make a game without programming skills.
You must have money.

Shikieiki as Bao Zheng
I know people didn't draw that yet. Or you can draw Touhou with Wuxia style (Chinese martial arts, famous novels by Jin Yong)

Of course it will come out shit if you think you can start making something like that without practice.

Why do you want to make a doujinshi when you can't draw anyway?

Since you can fumble your way through basic programming easier and faster than you can pick up a pen and start drawing decently, I'd suggest making a game. Create a decent story and interesting experience with stand-in placeholder graphics. Once it's far along and quite a bit is developed, show it around and look for an artist to join rank and draw for your masterpiece.

Otherwise have fun floundering around kiddy forums forever, getting nothing done.
