Hi guys.
First time here, so I ask you forgiveness if what I'm about to ask bother you.
I have just heard about Israel's vicious assault on a ship carrying relief aid to the people in Gaza and this got me wondering what Japan's stance on Israel is. I heard the Japanese like to think themselves as the Jews of East Asia, and some argue they are the descendants of one of the fabled lost tribes so I'm deducting they are favorable to Israel's actions?

Japan was once a popular migration spot for Jews. During Imperial Japan they came by the thousands upon thousands.

There are around 3000-4000 of them in the country now.

Culturally and historically, they actually identify with them a lot.

However, the current Japanese government does not really deal with the issue of Israel; no Asian powers really do since it does not concern them aside from minor trade deals.
