Yeah instead of uploading the directly downloaded file from mangagamer I zipped it again after unzipping it and the size became different. Was thinking it would make the "date changed" different so that they can't identify who downloaded that copy or something, probably stupid. It is legit though.

Well, I'm not a hacker, but I heard MG uses Themida protector which is quite nasty. I don't think there is one, because nobody made one, but it should be possible to make one for minagoroshi. Kaibrid isn't a crack, as it's a backport of Higurashi Kai games to the old Higurashi BGI engine, so some original higurashi patches also work with it. The crack posted on this thread appears to be based on the original game, so no script modification is required, but old higurashi mods won't work on it obviously.

I just made myself one, it's very easy, get old higurashi-noframe.rar and bgitools.rar

Run:

arcextract.exe sysgrp.arc sysgrp
This extracts the sysgrp.arc archive to sysgrp folder. Extract higurashi-noframe.rar, and move the files to the sysgrp folder, overwriting everything. Rename sysgrp.arc to sysgrp.arc.original (or something else). Run arccreate.exe sysgrp sysgrp.arc . You're done, sysgrp.arc now has hidden menus.

I tested and it works here very well.

Why don't you use the proper single executable crack that was posted and stop using old higurashi backports? You don't even have the excuse of using it for compatibility with older patches, since as people have made new background, sprite, music, no menu patches for this minagoroshi specifically.
