So, I just moved to Japan. Been here like 2 days. Just got back from a trip to the conbini, picked up some shrimp sticks, karai squid chips, pocari sweat and some gatsby shavan stuff.

what did you do in japan today?

Really, OP, we're not jealous. Japan is absolutely not like in the animes/Mangas/VNs. You, who moved there, should know better than anyone that Japan has a lifestyle very different from the rest of countries. Everything moves really fast. It's a very dense atmosphere, stressful. I hate it.

Unless you moved to the mountains or something like that, I'm not jealous of you, OP.

Tickets, car rentals hotel expenses, Akibahara shopping spree and the shipping that will come with it, flying to Okinawa and back, hitting places as far as Hokkaido, eating spree, blah blah blah. I can easily go over 80K if I'm not careful, remember, a good amount of it is going to cover living expenses and in japan 3 months is not cheap.

Somes things I like about Japan
-Cheap food
-Conveniently placed stores and vending machines
-Transportation system

Other than that it's pretty meh

I kinda like their Shintoism and festivals. It looks pretty fun on TV unlike some of the main religions and festivals in Canada where it seems so serious and dull.

I'd say that White Canvas is pretty much in or around Akiba. Also, Toranoana.

Akiba has at least ten places with significant amounts of Touhou goods that outnumber anything else. You just have to know where to look, or just look and you will find them eventually. There is one shop, for example, about eight stories high, really small and you'll never notice it unless you happen to look up and see the poster on the balcony overlooking the main road.

Got a sandwich from Lawson. That's about it. Yesterday I went to Nakano Broadway, but nothing really of interest.

Nobody really cares about your trip. I've been here for about 2 weeks and I'm leaving in August. I'm in Tokyo, so I'm part of that fast/dense/stressful atmosphere. To me, it's just like any other city except the people here are much more polite, but not as friendly. Philadelphians tend to be the opposite; obnoxious, but very friendly.

Oh, and the other difference is that when I go to buy food I really can't tell what the fuck I'm getting in terms of potato chips or other snacks since I can't read the fucking bag.

Also, call it a convenience store, not a コンビニ. You sound like an ass and it makes it seem like you're trying to hard to say it's much different from a 7 Eleven in the states.

Wander. Don't bother, there's nothing really there. I've been there twice and it's way too tourist-y. Go there to shop for relatively new merchandise and cheap electronics. If you want the niche stuff, Ikebukuro or Nakano Broadway has more stuff.

Hey! is not Sega owned and the Sega sign is about 2 buildings down on Sega World - an entirely different arcade. Hey! is the one that, suprisingly, says "Hey!" the entrance is bright orange and, outside of some games running on TV's in the wall, all you'll see is an escalator.

And Street Fighter 4 isn't that popular in Japan because they have taste.
