How much bigger is the Japanese Touhou fanbase in comparison to the foreign fanbases?

>> No.5224075

We're all Japanese.

>> No.5224085

Big enough to be featured on CNN.

Gee, I don't know, let's compare the participation and number of works on Japanese Touhou conventions with their western counterparts, for example.

Oh wait.

>> No.5224091

They aren't as big as americans.

>> No.5224092

I'd say pretty darn.

But it doesn't matter, because like many fanbases, only a small percentage of the Japanese fanbase aren't fucking annoying.

Bad Apple views on Youtube: 1.6 million
Bad Apple views on Nico: 7.5 million

>> No.5224102

>>5224096
Yet it was featured on CNN.

Was Bad Apple shown on any of Japan's networks?

No?

I didn't think so.

>> No.5224113

If we go by the CNN report view count on Nico and compare them to youtube, it's actually terrifying how massive the Japanese base is.

Murders are on the news all the time. I guess the murder fanbase must be huge.

I'm glad I don't know very much Japanese, because I can tell they're saying something stupid in Niconico videos.

Do you hear that, Japan? Stop reskinning games with Touhou, and try to put your own spin or something to it at the very least.

Don't listen to him, Japan.
Just stop making your Touhou RPGs suck.

I think Vampirish Night made a cool spin on things.

There are no buses in Gensokyo.

As far as how large their fanbase is, go to Gamers in Akiba, and up on the 7th floor is character goods. It's pretty much just "Touhou and whatever else we can fit up here." And that's not even the GOOD shop.

I hate how it was destroyed merely by a lack of communication and a mass amount of bitching and moaning from trolls.

I wonder when it'll start to fade.

well actually it looks like the US fanbase is about 0.068 meters bigger than the japanese

>> No.5224326

I'd say we should make joint effort to convince the guy to release Vampirish Night, but then again, I'd feel bad for pirating it.

>> No.5224338

Touhou had a documentary in Japan iirc.
