What has the euro to do with this?

>> No.5220507

manga gamer charges in euros, the value of which has decreased a lot recently, thus cheaper higurashi for non eurozone residents

Sure is summer in here.
It should be in gaku gaku. Not sure the title but it has devil or midsummer in it.

Guessing the last one will be released around AX and/or Koihime Musou.

Midsummer's demon

Still the best Higurashi doujin out there.

Translated from MangaGamer language: Some time around the end of June-middle of July.

Also, BGMs that will be removed without a doubt:

Except there has not been a single delay of any title given an exact release date since Soul Link.

I thought the most recent arcs had little to none of that

slowbro here.

Question! Did mangagamer use the same pattern as the original game, as in: new release include previous ones as well, or are you forced to get all of them?

I never understood, why in the world do they do this? And why the shortened/looped/merged sound effects? That shit's annoying and retarded...

Based on what they said, it comes down to the Japanese company who is acting as a middle man had a package prepared for foreign licenses, with agreements of everyone involved, and if they wanted to go outside of that package they would have to go negotiate with individual doujin musicians, which based on what the French guy who did do that has said that would be quite difficult, and seeing that MangaGamer is more of a for profit company then that random French guy, I am guessing it would have been even harder for them to get approval.

Ah, well I guess that's understandable. Still annoying, but I can't blame them in that situation. Kind of slipped my mind how Higurashi was much bigger than just Ryukishi07.

He is effectively a fan translator who got permission to sell is stuff in a way similar to Japanese doujin groups.

With all the work he put into making sure he could release everything, I would hope that his translation would be top tier.

The translation is indeed top tier. (he does seem to create new jokes though, one screenshot shows a Guren Lagaan reference)
He released Himatsubushi but only 100 copies, and they sold out in one day. He's planning 500 more to hit the stores in the next few weeks. (20€ for all 4 games btw - how about that, Mangagamer?)
