Myouren also should receive special mention for being an examplar of a /jp/ anon despite never being on /jp/. Two things are notable about him. One, he doesn't even bother to move to get food, he sends his begging bowl, itself a protective spirit, flying around like a stone UFO to gather alms from villagers. Two, he refuses to leave his mountain even after the fucking Emperor orders it.

Add that to the protective spirits serving him (which all look like young boys) and I'll bet Myouren spent his days shitting on his temple's floor and dressing up his goho doji as girls.

Also, here's a nice text about those guardian spirits. It's a pity English info is rare. Be sure to read the Abe no Seimei story while imagining both parties as girls, it becomes oddly cute.
