Some of these techniques are good for learning, but if you're good, you will rarely use them. If you do, it will only be for certain dramatic scenes, or you will use an overly simplified form. I think its too much of a crutch to learn how to draw using these techniques, this being similar to how I learned to draw myself, the underlying concepts are good though.
